Hey guys,

I just sold my copy of Guitar Hero III on eBay and I just realized that I don't have a box that will fit it (it's 28" long x 12 " x 3"). The Staples near me only sells boxes up to 24x18x18...so I'm kind of in a rough spot. I take it that at least one of you guys has sold an item similar to GH3 in size...what's your recommendation for shipping it? I was going to ship it Priority Mail so I'd prefer not to have to bring it to UPS or other custom shipping places, but I may have to.

The store workers recommended not wrapping the item in bubble wrap and then wrapping that in paper as it may not provide enough protection to the item. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,
JJ Parks :)

you can ship it as is via UPS or Fedex. wrap it in a gift paper if you want so that people don't immediately know what it is.

i don't know if USPS allows shipping without a carton box.

Do what he says ^^ as that's how mine came in. Essentially brown paper wrapping over original box and it was good enough. That or you can makeshift a cardboard cover for it. I sold one on eBay, cut up a bigger cardboard box to wrap it up with and taped the hell out of it. Shipping was only $10 ground using UPS too. EASY

I shipped a copy w/ controller a couple weeks ago. I just cut up a bigger box and and put a layer of cardboard around the original box....taped it up so it was secure and solid. Good to go. No problems.

Thanks guys, you're brilliant :) I thought about both options (wrapping in paper and making a make-shift box, but I wasn't sure which one would be acceptable by the post office. Apparently both options are allowed. I guess I was just nervous the box would get damaged in transit and that I'd get negative feedback or whatever. Good to know =) Thanks so much all of you!
