Or just some advice on which one's are the best, in your own experience.

i work at a company that ship all over the world
we use the Zebra LP 2844
mind you we print maybe close to 100 labels a day
but never had problems with it and works with our shipping software, ShipWorks.
Maybe you can find it cheaper somewhere else as Amazon is crazy high. Didn't know thermal printers were that pricey.

why not just use a regular printer?

Get a laser printer and get some adhesive paper... you can get a B&W laser printer for $50 and adhesive paper for like $10 for 200 sheets (PayPal shipping labels take up half a sheet so each page can be used for 2 labels).

Right now I'm using my girlfriend's printer, and I think that I'd be better off getting a true label printer.
