Shopping for a home theater system

I live in a one bedroom apartment and I'm looking into buying a a lower priced home theater system with excellent quality for the price. I'm looking into getting this one...

I'm not much of an audio guy so I have some questions for those of you who might know the answers.

The system linked above only has one optical input. I'm going to be running my PS3 and 360 through it. Will an optical switcher be easy to use and not mess with the quality?

It has one coaxial input. Is this how you plug your cable box in to get 5.1 sound on cable channels that support it? Or do you also have to go optical with the cable box?

Can you recommend a better system between 199.99 - 299.99?

watch SD for a deal on something like this. This 1 is much better than that but if your only spending 200 I say save a little and get something better.

Wow... that system is nice. But I'm happy with my Onkyo HT S790 refurb.

Definitely get an Onkyo refurb HTiB. They're unbeatable.

It is. sign up for club onkyo b4 buying and you can save 10% more, at least you used to anyway. I do not recommend that sony!
