If this is in the wrong forum, go ahead and close or move it, but it seemed like the most relevant forum to post this in.

I've got an old 'toaster' style NES along with about 20 games that I haven't played for a while. Tested it out last week with World Class Track Meet and it worked fine. Should I hold on to this thing or sell it, and what do some fellow CAGs thnk I could get if I sold it? I'm getting ready to go off to college this fall, and I don't think I'd have the room to take it with me so it would probably stay in the corner of the basement, boxed up. It would come with the system, Power Pad, Zapper, 2 controllers, and about 20 games.

This is what I've found so far. I know there's a few more games somewhere, RBI Baseball 2 and Championship Bowling at the least, as well as some assorted manuals for stuff. Any input would be appreciated.
 
Sorry, right now I'm just trying to feel out what I'd be able to get for it. If I do get rid of it, though, I'd be selling because I don't think I'll have the space for much gaming in my dorm room.
 
If you pieced everything out cart by cart, you might get around $50 for all of it, less as a bundle. I'd keep it though if I were you.
 
I would keep it because this system is worth a lot to me for what it is( C'mon is a NES) if i sold my NES collection i would probably get 80 - 100 bucks for it ,i would never do it , but if you don't care for it then sell it and approximately get 50 $ for it !

I say otherwise... I've seen NES with 10 games go for $50. Most NES games don't go for more than $1-2 each, so selling them individually wouldn't be as good.

But I agree, you'd be better off keeping it.
 
Agreed. It'll be great for nostalgia in a few years. I wish I'd kept my old NES.
If you can't take it with you, try to donate it to a younger gamer. My brother had a lot of fun with my NES when I left home.

Well before all that, you should test it to see if it all works. Most old NES decks get the 'blinking screen' after several years of use, which would render it worthless unless you install a new 72 pin connector

Bad idea younger gamers in general wont appreciate a game without tits,guns, and driver seat bj in the back alley of liberty city, It would end up on gamestop counter for credit, even before you stepping out the door.

Guess I should mention that yes, it does work. I was happily playing some World Class Track Meet last week.

Looks like the general consensus is that I'd get next to nothing for this, so I'll probably end up keeping it.
 
what does toaster style mean to you? when i think toaster i think top loader but the again in the original version you "pop" the game down... top loaders are worth more....
 
ok dude listen up!!! I sell on ebay nes games mostly... you would get more out of it if you split it up on ebay, but if you sold them to someone individually you would get squat! look up lot auctions on ebay to get a feel for what people are bidding on for nes games and prices and shipping...
