Is there meaning to that for you, or are you just trying to be one of the dumbasses hoping to be "trendy" with thier ink?

If there is meaning, care to let us in on it?

Trendy with my shirt on?

Please, tell me how this works.

Meaning? I love Greek mythology and I love art; the two seem to come together in the classic picture from Alice in Wonderland.
Inking is more about art than meaning for me, anyway, and I'll never get one that can be seen in public if I have a tshirt and shorts on.

On my wrist.
Care to tell why?

The design of the heart seems different than the standard patterns.
Is there a reason for that, or is that just one of you're artist's stock tatoos?

With the change in perception of tatooing, there are many people who are getting inked for all the wrong reasons. Not because they love the art, or because the art has any meaning to them...
they're doing it because it's seem as cool. These are the people that get thier tatoo, are proud of it while it's accepted and "cool", but they hide it at the first moment it's inconvient to them.

Sorry for the lame pic, but it's the only one I have that clearly shows my tats. I hate them all by the way, I'm having them removed next month. No offense to anyone, but I think tattoos are trashy, I just thought I was cool when I got them.

I have stars on each shoulder, and a dragon coming out of a lotus flower on my right arm(I really hate this one).

Those are also the people who pick their tattoos off of the wall.

See the eagle behind Ian? I know it's not unique or anything to get a band image, but there's something about this bird. I'm just drawn to it. It's just sleek. Looks awesome.

Anyway, that's what I'm getting when I move into my first apartment in a few weeks. Kind of an independence logo. Start Something, if you will. ;)

I just can't decide if I want it on my shoulder or shoulder blade.

The closer you get to the parts of bone, the more it fucking hurts; so stay away from the shoulder blade.

Ah. Thanks for the advice.

I am going to get on. One day when I can afford it. I have talked to a few artists and they say it will cost about a 1,000 bucks and take up to 6 sessions. I want to get a polynesian half sleeve on my right arm. I like the design of the polynesian. Just some random links and pics.
Why isn't anyone posting tattoo pics!
I think it's cause tattoo's are more of a personal thing. You get one to represent something in life or get one that means something only to you. So people get tattoo's for one of two reasons. They think its cool or it means something special to them. If some people were to post pics of there tatt's then they would have to explain the special meaning to them and I think some people don't want to do that.

That's BS. Noone is asking for an explanation.

tatoo isn't a grammar mistake; it's a spelling mistake. :)

The first album was good (at least the original British release was), the second one didn't do anything for me though.

As for tattoos, I have considered getting one, but I feel the RvB PSA sums it up best.

Reasons why not to get a tattoo:
- Tattoos are permanent
- You are a god damn idiot.

Take your current age and subtract 10 years from it. Were you smart back then?
No. You were an idiot, it just took you 10 years to figure it out. You are just as big an idiot today, it is just going to take you 10 more years to realize it.
I don't think that pic could by any sexier...
It could be, but it's definitely better cropped than upcropped (leaving something to the imagination = good).

If you're goign to call everyone with a tattoo an idiot, than do us a favor and get the fuck out of the thread.

Kayden; that tattoo is pretty hot.
www.bmezine.com There's enough tattoo/piercing/mod pics for the rest of your life there.
I try to never browse bme unless i'm looking for something specific, because all the scarring pics scare the shit out of me. I did submit mine after I got it, though.
Two grammar mistakes in the same sentence from Sweeney!
Yep.
I make mistakes... lots of them.
If you take all of the errors from everything I've ever posted or written, there are probably enough errors to fill a number of large volumes.

That's exactly why I was never too keen on Sneaky Penguin's little "Grammar Gestapo".

Where anyone would get the idea that I'm some sort of stern proctor ready to slap people's wrists with a ruler for each and every spelling and grammar error is beyond me.

Sorry for the intrusion, Rich.

I'm actually curious to see what other tattoos CAGs have.
While I don't think I would get one myself, I've seen some very nice art that my friends and co-workers have. I'd assume that some CAGs could have a few that are just as interesting.

Thanks, I designed it myself.

I've always wanted to get one but I could never settle on a design. I think it's a tough call -probably 90% of all the tattoos I've seen look ridiculous and I know way more people who regret what they got more than people who are happy but the ones that get it right really look great.

EDIT: linked b/c I can't shrink the fucking picture.

I don't typically appear as bloated or white trash as the picture would convey (god knows I don't go sleeveless in public), and damn near all of my hair is gone, but it's the only picture of some of my work I have. My right arm will get some more work done in the Fall (4-6 weeks, I hope), and the design is a full sleeve. I'm doing everything in my power to ruin my chances at tenure.

And that's my puppy, Johnny Cash. Worship at his altar.

Does it have any meaning or is it just some wicked art? Either way...hottness.
