CAGiversary!
tl;dr version: Please like and share this image to show support for Yakuza 5 localization: http://on.fb.me/1365WMl
I know there's already a Yakuza 5 1st details thread, but I wanted to put this out there as its own thread so that it could get more attention.
As you may or may not know, Yakuza 5 has not been confirmed in North America/Europe/UK. Several news outlets have asked Sega about it, and so far their answer is that there are no plans/no comment.
The only information we do have was a random reply to the official PlayStation blog post by Andrew Webber (RubyEclipse) for Bayonetta being released digitally on the PS Store. While he had no information about the Yakuza 5 localization, he mentioned that if you wish to see Yakuza 5 and/or Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Collection localized, to buy copies of Yakuza: Dead Souls and/or Yakuza 4 (on a side note, I believe Yakuza 4 is out of print, so that leaves only Yakuza: Dead Souls that would make a difference at this point).
Within the last week of those post, the Sega Facebook page put out a image showing Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F (rhythm game) and asked that their fans show support for localization by liking and sharing the image. Lots of Yakuza fans commented on there to please do this for Yakuza 5 (but as you may have guessed, Sega has not).
So, YakuzaFan created a Facebook Campaign of the same type; if you would, please log into Facebook and show your support by Liking and Sharing the image on your timeline (the more people that see the image and Like/Share the image, the better). Since it's not on Sega's official Facebook page, it's not getting the exposure that it would if it were Sega running the campaign.

There's no guarantee this will matter at all, but it's the only thing Yakuza fans can do at this point other than buy copies of Yakuza: Dead Souls.
So far, I have bought 5 copies of Yakuza: Dead Souls and gave them out to my friends & family (it's been about $15 on Amazon.com with Prime shipping, so at that cheap, it's not very expensive to buy just one more copy for someone).
Here is another link to some more background info on why we need a campaign at this point: http://yakuzafan.com/post/35570095780/ive-been-curious-about-this-for-a-while-even-more-so
UPDATE: Operation Rainfall has posted about the campaign. http://operationrainfall.com/yakuza-5-fan-campaign/
