Sigh... Got called in for Jury Duty
I was going to say something similar. Yes, jury duty isn't fun but it's a very important part of our legal system and something you shouldn't just get out of because you don't feel like doing it.
When I served on a jury on 2004, during the jury selection, one perspective juror kept on insisting he would be a biased juror because of some bull like he

Just got back. Basically sat around from 8am to 3:30p listening to music and reading magazines.

Glad you made it on time. The 91 was a bitch this morning especially towards downtown Riverside (worse than usual) because of the rain.

I know this thread is really old,but I got summoned to jury duty. I honestly don't want to go. I wish you could give them a simple yes or no answer instead of them threating you. :bomb:

Go do your Jury Duty. What if you were accused of a crime and the only people on your jury were people who were to dumb to get out of jury duty?

Don't really care to be honest. I always get screwed at everything so I know I would at that as well. I don't want to go sit all day. We are not all well and regular ;)

I know a guy who got picked for grand jury duty in Montgomery County, MD.

This is the worst hands-down.

He wasn't able to get time off from work, because it was a 13 week commitment every Saturday for 4 hours from 9-1 (with possible extensions on that for overbooked days).

He was also working weekends too after his jury duty.
