Signature revoked, no explanation?

Your join date is 10/19/09, which means you can't make a "complex" signature until 11/20/09.

I understand that users don't get full signature priviledges until they've been active for 30 days, and I don't mean to be implying malice or anything underhanded, just what's happening exactly.
I had a single line of text signature, now it's gone. The Edit Signature option is gone from my control panel, and if I go directly to the edit signature page, I am provided with the message, "Sorry, you are not permitted to have a signature."

That's kinda weird that would happen by accident. As long as I understand what the issue was, I'm happy, thanks for the clarification.

Actually, until Cheapy noted it was an error to have any signature at all in the first place, no, it was not explained "what was up." My primary concern was not whether or not I have a signature, but whether or not I had been unwittingly breaking the TOS or something.
