Credit to ktg at Fatwallet. This has now been confirmed by moiety and several other CAGers.

All seasons for these shows will be just $20 for those dates. You'll need a coupon sheet they'll be handing out at the door (one CAGer reported the cashiers had them at checkout, so if your store doesn't have any at the door, check with a cashier before giving up). If you get a sheet you may be able to PM at another store with the sheet. (I don't know if other stores will PM to 'clubs' or not though.)

The sheet is actually for $10 off the DVDs (Costco has them all priced at $30) so it would be more of a using a competitor's coupon deal, not a 'true' PM, if you tried to do it at another store. Just wanted to clarify there.

I already have every Simpsons season, but maybe I'll complete Futurama (I have 1 and 4) or pick up a Family Guy set...

ICYDK, Costco requires a membership.

I hope that this is true because this would be sweet to get the second volume of Family Guy this cheap because I only paid 18 bucks for the first set during Black Friday last year from Target.

Is there anyone who would be interested in picking a lot of these up for me? Please? If anybody could, could you send me a PM?

i'll pay someone to get a family guy season 1 for me. PM me if a really nice person would be willing to do this!

Meh, I already have all the Simpsons and Futurama seasons and I can't stand Family Guy anymore.

Good deal for those interested tho!

Alright! Yes! I already have all of the Simpsons seasons (and most of the bonus add-on dvds, just missing christams 2) and all of the seasons of Family Guy (got them at BF last year at Target), and have been waiting for a good deal on the Futurama DVDs. Awesome. Already own the first season of it so I can't wait to pick up the last 3 seasons of it. Thanks OP.

I really hope this turns out to be true; I've been waiting to pick up Seasons 2-4 of Futurama for quite some time.

Now I'll just have to convince my friend with a Costco card to go shopping with me.

do they offer a trial membership (sam's has one dont they)

Also, would it be possible to borrow and use a friends or would they have some way to prevent that?

You do need a membership. The cards have the name and picture on it (at least mine does) so I don't know if borrowing someone's would work.

Not sure if they let you do a trial thing, couldn't hurt to ask. They do check ids at the door, but it shouldn't be too hard to slip in amongst a group (just look like you're with the lady in front of you :) ) and grab a coupon sheet to try PMing with. You won't be able to check out without a card even if you manage to get inside without one.

borrowing someone's card will work. my mom borrows a friend's card all the time. they didnt say who is that or u dont look like that person. if they ask just say its from a friend or relative.

YMMV on that one, our local Costco won't let you in unless your picture matches the one on the card.

Sweet! you rock OP, been trying to nab a deal on Family guy for a long time.

Does anyone know if Costco is restocking these DVD season sets in conjunction with the coupon promotion?

Because last time I checked a few weeks ago, most wharehouses only had the recent season DVDs (like Simpsons Season 4 for example but not Season 1, 2 or 3). I'm not sure if Costco is trying to clear out their remaining inventory or if they plan on restocking. I would love to fill some holes in my Simpsons, Family Guy and Futurama DVD collections.

Any insight on this issue?

Will stores usually PM warehouse clubs like this? No membership card to Costco, and I don't know if I want to go through the hassle to get in without one.

The original OP on fatwallet mentioned his Costco seemed to be restocking in anticipation of this sale (no idea of the details on that). I haven't been to mine.

Sweet deal... if anyone needs me to pick them up anything, I will definitely be making a trip myself.

Nice deal! But my Costco is far away.. but hey $20 shit that's an awesome deal. Just wanted to make two clarifications:

5 Simpson DVD box sets?
4 Futurama DVD box sets?

Hopefully I could get a hold of the Futurama to complete my collection.
If I were only to buy 2 futuramas does anybody have a suggestion for which 2 are the best?
Well, IMHO you can't go wrong with any of the sets. But if there's no way you can get all four, I guess I would recommend Volume Three and Volume Four.

Volume Three has the most episodes of any of the sets (22) and includes such classics as "Amazon Women In The Mood", "The Luck of the Fryrish", "Time Keeps On Slipping", "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid", "Roswell That Ends Well" (my personal favorite), and "Anthology of Interest II"

Volume Four has 18 episodes (Volume 2 has 19 and Volume 1 has 13), including some of the best, again IMHO. "The Sting", "Where No Fan Has Gone Before", "Spanish Fry", "The Why of Fry", "The Farnsworth Parabox" are all great, and the set also includes the finale of the show, "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings." Too much good stuff in this set to miss.

So I guess personally I'd rank the sets in this order: 4,3,2,1.

Well I, for one, will be there bright an early Monday morning. I'm hoping the coupon will extend for each set, because I am planning to buy a couple sets to complete my collection. I hope I don't need one coupon per set. I'll report back as soon as I get back Monday.

I dropped by Costco today (Saturday). Their Simpsons (amongst other Fox animated DVDs) inventory was restocked substantially. I noticed a whole bunch of Season 1 sets (and others), which weren't there a few weeks ago. I bought some Simpsons and Family Guy during BF but am going to buy the missing sets in my collection on Monday.

They had a big pile of those coupons at the front door. IIRC, you don't even need them as the price will automatically be adjusted at the checkout counter.

I bought the Aliens Quadrilogy 9-disc set last Christmas without the coupon... funny story with that. Costco was selling it for $45 after the $20 coupon discount (normally $65). After a month, I decided not to keep it since I already bought the Aliens 4-disc Box set a few years ago.

I had lost the reciept by then and I was surprised Costco actually refunded the full $65 to me... so I came out $20 ahead on that! I think I blew all the money on 200 TDK CDRs, that MJ Ultimate Collection and some food... somewhat unethical but thought I'd share the experience with you.

Good to know. This makes the most sense anyway. I'll be sure to confirm it come Monday. :)

I was in costco today to scout it out and the selection was poor. There was only one bin. SO I hope they have more. I wsas looking for Simpsons season five and Futurama 2-4. They only had 2 and a ton of Simpsons. They also had family guy and king of the hill. But I really want futurama and their pickings were slim.

My Costco seemed to have a lot of Simpsons (particularly Season 1 for some reason)... the pickings for Futarama were okay. King of the Hill and Family Guy were not as plentiful as the others though.

IIRC, Costco allowed you to buy DVDs online. They would show the price with the coupon discounted off already. I remember looking it up at their website when they were discounting the Disney DVDs by $5 (Mulan, Alladin, Nemo, etc)... I ended up going to the store and buying them since I have a Costco nearby.

I don't see the Fox animated shows up at their site... at least not yet. It's still Sunday (3/13) so maybe it'll happen when the sale officialy happens on Monday (3/14).

For those who have checked the stock, are they over in the DVD/Book section or are they off separate? My Costco opens at 10 for business members (I'm one :p ) so I'll be going in about an hour. Thanks!

is it like the entire season on 1 DVD for 24 bux? or is it 24 bux a dvd and theres like 5 a season or something.

Alright got back from Costco here's the report:

You NEED the coupon, so ask the greeter for today's coupons. One coupon will take off $10 for as many sets as you want. It says "No item limit per coupon". Make sure you point this out to the clerk that rings you up, just in case.

At the Danvers, MA Costco, they were definitely well stocked! I had season 1 of Simpsons and Futurama already, so I picked up Futurama 2, 3, and 4, and Simpsons 2, 3, 4, 5. Oddly, the season 4's of each show were hard to find, because everything was mixed in. But just poke around at your Costco and you'll hopefully find the sets you need.

They also had an abundance of Family Guy and King of the Hill. There is plenty there for anyone in this area.

When I brought them up to ring up, I pointed out the coupon and the "no item limit", he read it and was like, "Wow! That's great!" So he scanned each set (I had 7 total), then scanned the coupon afterwards 7 times (once for each set). It subtracted $10 after each swipe.

So again, you need the coupon to get the $10 off, and you only need one coupon. It can be rescanned for however many sets you buy.

Good luck!

Sweet. Thanks for confirming the deal moiety. I'll have to head over to mine later today. I think I'm going to complete my Futurama set and forget about Family Guy. I just hope they don't run out of coupon sheets or something lame like that.

I went today and completed my Family Guy and Futurama. They didn't have any coupons left, but the cashier had them for anyone to use. Thanks OP for alerting me of this sale.
