Simpsons season 7 coming out Dec. 13

Nope, Season 7 had some of the best and most memorable episodes to date.

Let's hope Fox gives us alternative packaging either at purchase or a send away.
 
yeah, i dont like the head cases, they dont match my other 5 and they feel much cheaper... but alas ill still pick it up
 
I think Simpsons started going downhill around seasons 9, 10, or 11. Can't remember for sure though...

Around season 11-12, it started going down hill IMO. The 7th season is great, and I can't wait to own it.
 
Did anyone mail away for the different packaging? I'm curious what it looks like. I'll definitely be picking this up when it comes out (at least have it on my Christmas list).
 
I think 11 or 12 is where it turned for me... they still have some fantastic episodes these days but it's just not all of them...
 
I still have to get season 6, and I'm contemplating whether or not I'll keep the head case or not considering they've released the images of the next 3 season boxes. I guess I'd rather have 10 matching cases than 2 sets of 5.
 
I still need to get seasons 4-6. Its just hard bringing myself to spend more than what I did on each of the first 3 seasons($15@FYE last year;)) Of course I'll eventually break down and get them, but I think I'll survive on reruns. . . for now

This might be the last good season. I believe it all went downhill from here when Matt Groening left most of the work to the other lesser-talented bunch
 
Seasons 3-8 were the golden age of Simpsons.

9-10 is where they started declining.

I'll be picking this one up the weekend it comes, if I don't already orde rit online.

Edit: Does 50 seem a little steep to you? I mean, I got Season 6 for 30, as well as all my other season (Except 2 and 4...they were 15, 'cause I bought them on sale)

The case inside the Homer Head that contains the discs slides in, through the top, and homer's eye shows through the packaging.

Assembly required, though.

Now there are many options available for dangerously underweighted individuals like yourself. I recommend a slow steady gorging process combined with assal horizontology. You'll want to focus on the neglected food groups such as the whipped group, the congealed group and the chocotastic!

I want them both. I don't feel like choosing. And I'm NOT buying two goddamn packages of the same season. You piss me off, Fox.
 
According to that site info on commentary tracks is not available yet.

I really hope they didn't rush these out the door and skip doing audio commentaries on each episode. I'm sure some people don't care about them, but I enjoy them.

I've heard that Groening is an ardent supporter of doing the tracks (I think he actually says this on one of the commentaries of a season already out...) so I'm going to assume they'll still be there for each episode.

And hopefully fye will do another crazy low prize with $10 rebate :) Got my $10 rebate check for S6 a few days ago making my out of pocket something like $17.

Nice two good seasons in the same year i'll definitly be picking this one up. Now if only they offer a different box like they did with the homer box

Yeah, I did. Better than the cheap plastic head with the crease/hinge on the bottom so it won't sit on a shelf right. Not fantastic though... basically a grey case that the insides of the head slip into...

If 7 tracks like 6, you'll be able to pick it up cheap if you do a pre-order or at least buy them on the week of release. I picked up S6 for under $20 by doing a pre-order and MIR.

Why are you mad? I'm incredibly happy since it looks like the rest of my collection will look normal and at least you get the option of what style you want.
 
I'm definitely getting the regular case when I purchase this.

I thought with the homer head, the idea was neat, but poorly designed from a UI perspective. I'd have been much obliged if they'd have stores give out the alternate case with your puchase, while supplies last or whatever.

I'd rather have a futurama or family guy style package... but i know that's not gonna happen...
