Hi!
I'm from Norway where singstar for the PS2 and now for PS3 has been a huge hit. First off all it's real karaoke and not sing-a-long with the original text. Second of all you where taking about the singing by yourself being a boring experience, but I can tell U that this is the by far best party-starter of a game ever It gets the partymood through the roof at any party. You can sing up to four players at the time and works like a charm! In other words this is a game to look forward too;-)

CheapyD rip number one: Why is the original performer singing the damn song while I'm singing!

That's a bit strange because I cannot remember that the original song is behind when you sing. But it could be differences between US and european version. Could also be that I've only played it at parties, and that you dont hear it then, and in those situations it really doesn't matter. You're wasted anyways;-)

Definitively worth the money as a party-starter!
