Figured I'd start a thread for this since the demo comes out this week. Anyone else totally pumped for this? I've already got my copy pre-order from the EA Store.

All my RL friends are gonna DL this. Most on my list are skaters and they all have Skate 2. Ima be a noob compared to them.

I haven't purchased any of the skate games but I have played them both a bit and enjoyed them. Maybe I will look into this game when it comes out and put more time in it then the first 2. Looking forward to a demo though!
Demo is now up. It's just under 1GB.
OMG the demo is pretty damn cool :D well its a lot better than skate 2 demo ( thank God )

Demo is okay, but everything feels really floaty compared to the past two games. Still a ton of fun. Hardcore mode makes grinds brutal.

Quick little video I threw together. This is all hardcore mode footage, so hitting the large gap at the end and the grinds were a bitch. Getting the footage was a pain as well since you can only have one video uploaded at a time, so I constantly had to go back and forth, downloading my videos before I uploaded another.

Anyways, here it is, quick editing job and all (watch in 480p...looks much better):

Im very excited for Skate3! Im still saving up for my 360, if anyone wants to shoot me offers on theirs, PM me! Aside from that I love how they tweaked the physics for hardcore/realistic gameplay!

Naw man I'm reading this thread haha. Can't wait for this. I'm not that good or else I'd join a team.

Join up guys. It doesnt matter if you think you're good or not. As long as we can get a healthy community for this, it should be a ton of fun.

im still playing skate 2 ( awesome game and series) its my when i just want to play to play but not win game. what changes/improvements hae they made in 3 to the overall experience?
Got this fully paid for today, anyone else getting it next week when it comes out?
I have it pre-ordered from the EA store, so I should hopefully get it Tuesday, maybe a day or two later.

I have mine pre-ordered and fully paid off at Gamestop. I'll have it Tuesday, Monday Night if they do a midnight release for it.

Nice little montage man...

awesome game and series...

Pre-order from the EA store shipped today with 2nd day air. Looks like I'll have my copy on Monday, so I should be good to go. I'm gonna add those that posted in here to my friends list when I hop on the PS3 tonight.

I've been playing the demo like crazy. I loved OG Skate and had mixed feelings about Skate 2. Skate 3 is releasing on my birthday which will be a nice present for myself. Sadly I'm only going to get to play it for 2 days before I head out of country for 6 months.

So far I've:
1. Spread Eagle 360 off of an old woman
2. Jumping/grinding into 50+ shopping carts
3. Built a fort with dumpsters, vending machines and barriers
4. Creating a car out of kegs, vending machine and other stuff

All of this and it's just a demo. I didn't think I would be excited about this game but I am.

Same, Skate 2 is only $20 new at Walmart. But I too have been playing the demo a lot. Just don't see myself spending another $60 especially on Skate 3 with all these games coming out =/. Think I'll hold off on it for now... will definitely get it later.

Hey all, just an FYI, the kmart on 34th st. in NYC has Skate 3 for sale for ps3/360. Didn't even know it was coming out soon and then came home to see that the release date is Tuesday. Anyway, good deal for anyone in the area who wants a head start.

how do you put together combos in skate games? figuring out the tricks is easy enough but stringing them together is a bit of a challenge.
Alright guys, I finally got the team sorted. I had to recreate it. Everyone who wants to join should be able to do so now.

Are you allowed to join more then one team? A few members of a hip-hop forum I go to asked me to set up a team so I did. I'd like to join this team too, seeing as it will probably be more active then the team I'm already in.

IGN's review - http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/108/1088528p1.html

I like how he says that if you've played Skate 1 or 2, there isn't much need to play this one. Yeah, because an entirely new city to skate, parks to create, and all the new online features definitely aren't worth it. I don't know if he plays the way I do, but I can sit there skating around, filming lines for hours upon hours (hell, as of yesterday, I was still doing just that in Skate 2). Sounds like he's one of the guys that finishes career mode then is done with the game.

Regardless, I'm super pumped. My game should be here any minute now. By the way, I added everyone who posted in here to my friends list (assuming your PSN name is in your profile).

Been playing Skate 3 for about and hour and a half now and it's a blast. The skate park creator is great. I don't even have half of the stuff unlocked for it, yet there is still so much you can do.

I will say, the entire town seems much more segregated than past games. In the previous games, I could just skate the entire city, back and forth, and it all felt like it flowed well. This one, there are huge chunks of almost like highway in-between that you just skate along for awhile until you arrive at another part of the city.

The actual districts themselves are fantastic though, I'm just not feeling the way each one is so clearly separate from one another.

Looks like they deleted whatever teams were created? Everytime I try to view the CAG team, it says "Requested team is no longer valid", whatever that means. I cant even create another team. Hopefully this get's straightened once it officially launches.

OMG I typed this post like 3 times. (Facebook on another tab is messing page up and unable to type if someone sends an IM, and apparently I press Backspace and goes back a page =_=)

FInal time:

Wow really? 3 copies? wow. No wonder there's so many skate 3 replays already.
There was someone on JTV who got the game a week earlier from a Mom n Pop shops. Man what a lucky person having an available mom n pop shops that doesen't care about release dates.

And oh yeah, for the people who hasn't seen my video, check it out xD, My final replay for Skate 3 Demo.

I'm starting to upload more videos on Youtube, and a +Sub will be greatly appreciate. If you upload skate 3 vids too, I'll sub back!! :]

So, to upload videos in HD, you have to purchase the "filmer" pack. I'm curious to see what this consists of since all the camera options are available from the get-go.

The website appears to be functioning correctly again. The CAG team page works like it should.
