small cheap memory sticks for psp 64 mb 128 mb
looking for a 512mb - 1g myself for my camera- anyone know anyplace other then eb/crapstop that would have them?
its VERy high but walmart has 512 for 20 bucks. sister picked one up for a cheap camcorder (uses memory cards instead of tape) Now she finds out the system can take up to a 2 GB card LOL.... She can get a 2 GB for 15 at CC this week

Seems anything lower then a 1 GB is going to be costly
Those should be free :)
Apparently Toys R Us thought so too. What I'm referring to is in December 2005, they had 128 sticks on clearance for $0.98 - $3.98 depending on the store. On top of that, they had a $5 off promo on those sticks making them free. The look on the cashier's face was awesome when I bought the last 4 and the total showed $0.00. They had to call over a manager but they said if the system allowed it, it was ok.

Considering some deals of getting a 4 GB stick for $30 or so. Paying $12 for 256 MB is not a good deal IMHO.

I guess if you just need one for game saves on a PSP, 64 MB would be alright.

I've been looking for a small memory stick to create a Pandora's Battery/Magic Memory Stick combo (256 MB or greater). It's not easy to get a small memory stick for a good price.

Most retail stores don't carry anything less than 1GB now, and want to charge $20 to $30 for it.

The Amazon 512 one for 9.99 is perfect. Thanks placebo1!

Yeah, in comparison to the larger sticks, it's not exactly a deal. But this is a case where I don't need and can't really use the extra space. The only question is how much this is gonna cost me, and $10 is better than $20.

The current MAX fair market value for flash memory is $10 per gig. If you pay $12.99 for a 256mb then you are paying over 400% more than you should (you should be paying $2.50 for that size).

Not really true. That's a very narrow view, and it will always cost more per unit for less. That's why individual anything is always more than a 6-pack or whatever.

I got my 4 GB from buy.com for $39.99 shipped (few months ago). I think they're going for about $45 shipped now.

I'd say $4.99 for the 64mb one isn't too bad, for those who just need to save their games (if you bought the psp without a memory pro duo).

These memory sticks are overpriced at a lot of B&M stores (for example, Office Max or Gamestop), but if you shop online you shouldn't be paying more than $10 per gig.

XD :bouncy:

That's exactly what I did. I bought a 512 for $10 so I could make that into a MMS. And still have my 4gb $35 from Frys sale for all my files.
WTF is this, PSP needs AT LEAST 2 GB of memory. No exceptions.

...IMO.
Not if all you do with it is play games and are not into homebrew of any sorts. My 1GB is full of music, game saves, and two PS1 games I downloaded from the PSN. I still have about 300MB free.

It's a thread that's grown beyond the original topic? rtft?
