Hey everyone. I have been playing the ps2 and ps3 for a while now and their controllers are just uncomfortable. My friend has a xbox360 and that controller is much more comfortable imo. I don't know if its because i have smaller hands or what. But I was wondering if there was an alterneitave to the ps3 controller? I know 3rd party controllers are not the best but I was wondering if you guys recommended any brand, addons for the controller, maybe grips?
Thanks for helping me out.

Yeah, the 360 pad is a piece of crap. There's a reason Sony has stayed with the same model. What could be wrong?

I got a rubber grip on amazon and my hand got perfectly

You might actually want to try rocketfish's ps3 controller - same layout as 360 - at Best Buy

Other than that, go to GS and ask what controllers they have and if you could try them.
I keep wanting to put my pointer finger on the L2 and R2 where they should be on the L1 and R1. I found these I might try http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Dual-Triggers-Playstation-3/dp/B001IAOEXU/ref=pd_sim_vg_2.

Make be that will help me get my fingers aligned. I am going to try a couple different things like grips to see if I can improve the feel for me :)
Huh? That's what I do since most games don't require you to use both the 1's and 2's in the same game. The 2's typically control the gas/brake in racing games, the 1's are just for occasional use. Covering all 4 feels weird and isn't necessary.

I hope you people aren't bashing the PS3 controller because you're using it wrong... Lol.

There is no "you guys" its just me and I am not bashing it. I am just trying to figure out a way to make the controller, to me, more comfortable. I am not bashing anything. Make sure you read everything before you post please.

Thank you for the advice guys. I am going to try a couple things and see if it helps.

You want a controller smaller than the PS3 controller, and you say the 360 controller feels better. You do realize the 360 controller is bigger right?

Anyways, like already said, just put your pointer fingers on whatever L and R buttons feels right. I personally let mine rest right in the middle of the ones and twos. I never keep my pointer and middle fingers on all the L and R buttons, that just feels unnatural.
