So they sent this big collectors edition box in a bubble mailer - I pay for shipping at best buy and get worse quality packaging than free shipping on amazon. Seriously, fuck best buy.

I wonder though if anyone's had any experience with complaints at best buy online? I'm pretty sure they won't give a shit. I think i'm just going to return it to the store and let them try to sell this smashed box.

I'm worried that their shitty store customer service will tell me they can't take the return because it's smashed and won't believe it was their fault.

... Most big retailers will give a shit, in my experience. Ive had them ship a guide and it came bent, torn, etc. It was really messed up. I called BB, they transferred me to the department I needed, told them I received the item mangled in the mail. They offered to send me a new one, which I gladly took. The new one was in much better condition.

You seem pretty upset, though, so I take it youve had bad run-ins with Best Buy before or something. Im sure their in-store CS could help as well as over the phone. It might just be my area, but Best Buys around here are pretty cool.

I return stuff from bestbuy.com to the store all the time that has come damaged.

And when they ask me why I am returning it, I just tell them that it was damaged during shipping, so I don't want it anymore.

Never had a problem before.
 
Next time you need to place an order with BB.com, call up Customer Service after you've placed the order and explain to them that your mailman sits on all of your packages. Request a box be used that can withstand Postal abuse.
