I guess it's overpriced for GS but it gets a lot on ebay and I wanna check this game out before I sell it =D also it was only one as now it is listed "back-order" LOL

there probably should be a combined thread now.. and is this considered a "deal" sorry if it isn't hehe
DDS1 Instock at Gamestop.com!!!

Using the code AFF25, I got it for $35 shipped, hopefully its complete...

@aznguyen316 Did you return your games to store? Can you just walk in and just return it?

Thanks,

Raz
Yup, just walked right in with my package and returned it. Just keep the packing slip that's folded up on the OUTSIDE of the envelope. No problems, the guy just had to look up how to do it since he said he doesn't do it very often. Refunded onto my CC of choice.
The store will tell you they can't find the disc.
Not necessarily. I have found a number of rare games siting on the used racks at GS stores. You just have to get lucky and hope there isn't a hoarder working there. It's worth looking, especially if the store is nearby.

Funny thing after work yesterday:

I visited my local Gamestop for DDS 2 and asked the employee to look for it in the system. He said there's none but there's a DDS 1 at a Gamestop 30 miles away. I asked him to give me the phone number so I can try to place the item on hold. The associate at the other Gamestop said she can only hold it until the end of the day. So, I drove 30 miles to get DDS 1. I was surprised it came complete with the deluxe box, manuals, and game. When I got home, I realized that I didn't get the bonus soundtrack but DDS 2 instead. At first I thought I was ripped off but then I realized that the extra game (and savings of $20) is better than a soundtrack.

How much is this selling for at GS?

DDS1 is $39.99 and DDS2 is $17.99.
my local GS has DDS1 but disc only. Not worth much of anything eh?
You can email Atlus and see if they have any boxes or manuals around. I emailed them the other day asking if they have the Deluxe box that house both DDS1 & 2 and they asked me for a mailing address, shipping it to me free of charge. They have a customer for life now

:applause:

Noice pickup.

The moral of the story is: ask the employee if there's any in stock and if not, ask if any other stores within your maximum driving distance have any available.

I didn't know Atlus gives out manuals and boxes away. If that was the case, then I would buy a disc only next time and request a manual and box (providing they have any available).

Do you know exactly how to email them? I sent them some mails but they have yet to respond (since more than a week ago)

Did you e-mail [email protected]?

A good, simple subject title will get their attention. Don't make a long-winded one. The first time I e-mailed them, the subject title went along the lines of, "Question about where to purchase a game not in your online store," or something like that, and I received no response.

Sent another e-mail asking if they had any extra soundtracks for DDS, which simply had a title of, "Digital Devil Saga Soundtrack." Got an e-mail the next day.
E-mailed them again on a Friday to ask about the DDS Deluxe Box, since I was missing it, with a subject title of, "Digital Devil Saga Deluxe Box," and received an e-mail on Monday the following week.

The whole subject-title thing might not exactly work, but it worked out for me. Keep in mind, they're probably really busy and try their best to respond to every last e-mail.

I will definitely be a customer for life with Atlus, simply because they have excellent customer service.
i tried to email them the other day at that address but it got bounced back to me. instead i sent an email to [email protected] . i hope that's the same thing. i need the manuals for DDS1 and Tsunagai: Atonement.
thank you for that email address. got dds1 manual and soundtrack. also sent me the cardboard box set for dds1&2. i couldn't believe it. i am customer for life with service like that. email sent to them on thursday received everything today.

I e-mailed Atlus a week or so ago requesting a spare collectors box. They responded to my e-mail like the next day, and sent out the collectors box the next day.

Awesome!
I just sent email asking about the manual and soundtrack for DDS1. That's all I need for complete set.

I did the same thing and then sent them a second one email asking for the deluxe box. So might be worth a shot to get the box too. Actually they sent me out 2 different boxes(a slip one from the top and a slip side box). Also sent me a wrap around cover for DDS2. How many other companies will do that cause I would really like to know?

I agree, I emailed them last night asking ifthey would send out/sell Devil Summoner boxart and Nocturne boxart/manaul. Here is the email I got back in under 24 hours~

"The items you requested have been sent to the address that you provided. Be sure to check out Persona 3: FES this April! It should be exactly your type of game if you enjoy playing SMT games"

Now ATLUS was already my favorite publisher (well mabye Working Designs back a few years ago) just becuase of the unique and awesome games they put out. But with that response they basicly lapped the competition.

I only hope people just use this to complete their own collections and don't go out doing this so that they can resell complete copies. Please don't abuse this guys.

Yeah, I also asked for the cardboard sleeve that holds both games. Got reply that they have the sleeve and soundtrack. No mention of the manual. Hopefully, they send it out too.
