Pretty crazy that you can find part 2 easily for 19.99 used... part one is very hard to find... I might never open my copy... only paid 6 for it, and I could sell it now and make a ton off of it but at the same time I like having a few reaally valuable games in my 1000 plus game collection, been trading off the crap and getting good games in their places
 
Yeah, DDS2 is still readily available "new" (ie, gutted) at a lot of Gamestops that I visit. The local fye still has a sealed copy for $52.99 :roll: I have found just a few DDS1s in my travels... I think I will hold on to the current copy that I have.

I also have a sealed DDS2 from Gamecrazy that I paid near MSRP for. Will hold on to that too.

Thought about it, if I could ever find a mint used copy... Id make about 150 bucks and get a great game for free... GS is so hit or miss sometimes, although that LE copy of Metal Gear Solid 3 SubsistenceI found there the other day was a nice suprise

Exactly. I called one time and the clerk put me on hold.
Came back and was like, "Uh, the disc is all scratched up and is in our defective bin and not for sale".
Whatever you a-hole.

I almost had that happen while I was standing in store, got took forever to find it, saying oh this isn't looking good I can't seem to locate it , 20 minutes later and going through just about every drawer behind the counter I guess he had to stop stalling. 60 bucks out the door, complete copy.

I was thinking the same thing... they could use a myraid of excuses. Hopefully it'll be ok though I don't know if risk driving 2 hours only to come back empty handed.

The guy was cool, he had it set aside, I told him on the phone I was going to drive an hour to pick it up.

When I went in i said:"I called about the SMT: Nocturne", and he and the other guy working started talking about it, said none of the employees had claimed it, and they had been keeping it in the back until someone asked for it. They didn't wanna just sell it to someone to flip on ebay.
 
I wish Atlus would rerelease DDS 1 & 2 + Nocturne in 1 sexay-looking Limited Edition box stuffed with extras. I would pay $100-$120 for that :)

But I don't think it will ever happen...

^^Yeah their pretty lame. I actually think a Gamestop employee ripped me off in a sense yesterday. I asked if they had any persona 3 in and the guy tells me they do, then he goes into the back, comes back out and tells me they didn't have any.

Your right, that will never happen. I hope it doesn't either. It would kill the value of these games. Luckily I have them all :D

EDIT: Also if anyone gets one from GS and it does not have case or manual, there are some available on eBay. Just type in Nocturne, then under games click on accessories.

When I went to my local GS to pick up a copy of Nocturne, I got turned down because an employee was "holding it for himself."

Then the guy who told me that had the nerve to ask if I was going to Ebay it. fucking douche. I just want to play it, since I heard it's quite good.
 
Today was an ATLUS goldmine for me.

Drove out of town to get Nocturne and came back. The I went to get my brother a PSP game for his birthday at the store back home, and they had a copy of Devil Summoner for $19.99 :D

I know it's not as rare, but still, it's nice to have!
 
Just put in an order for Nocturne and DDS 2. Both are back ordered, but it let me order which is a good sign. Just received my copy of DDS 1 and it came complete in great condition.
 
Damn, Nocturne was showing in stock on the website, but by the time I got to checkout it said it was backordered and I couldn't use the 25% off coupon.

Really? When I ordered mine, it let me order it even though it was back ordered.

There's a Nocturne at my local GS... I'm kinda surprised at how Nocturne seems to be popping up so much. Glad I already got mine for 25% off, I do not wanna pay $60 for this game.

Actually, don't bother with eBay because most of these sellers got them directly from Atlus, which sells and sometimes just gives you for the cost of shipping, the case art and manuals to a lot of their games.

Get it directly from Atlus, it will be a lot cheaper and safer.

I could have placed the order, but the GS site said since it was backordered and not in stock I couldn't use the 25% off coupon.

I'm an Atlus FREAK, but no way I'm paying 60 bucks for a used game that may or may not have the case/book.

I went to my GC to get my Nocturne disc buffed and the guy said something along the lines if he had it, he would have eBayed it a long time ago.

Surprised you could still get the game. I should ave bought Gitaroo Man, Persona 2 and Rhapsody Blue when GS had a burst of hidden copies popping out. Seems like it for Nocturne or Atlus games..

So, he thought it sucked or something? I heard Nocturne was a pretty good RPG.

I liked it...though to be honest, I like Digital Devil Saga better....same battle system, but more fleshed out story etc.
 
my Nocturne that I ordered when it showed in stock but then went to back-ordered after I placed the order (this was Friday) now today has went to processing. Here's to hoping it's complete =X

Should I even bother purchasing a game that costs as much as the console itself?

thanks for the heads up. i was browsing a shop yesterday and found a couple of new copies of gitaroo man for ps2. wasn't sure whether i should pick it up for $20 or not, but i'll go in the morning and scoop them up.

Yes. Nocturne is a great game, and it will give you a challenge.

I got that game for free ($29.99 value) when I purchased Stella Deus ($35) + Rez ($30), less than a month ago, with a B1G1F coupon provided by a clerk in lieu of the 25% off two PS2 titles floating around that time.

I just got my copy of Nocturne, I ordered it on Friday. The disc has some light scratches and smells like wet paper. And there is no case or manual.

Does anyone have a case and manual they would sell or trade?

Edit, if you got the soundtrack disc too for trade then tell me.
