SNES RPG collection just about completed

I've never had a battery go dead, however, I have had both my Lufia II and Final Fantasy II cartridges erase all my data before. I went to continue and nothing there...yet I was able to save and play normally after that.

That would piss me off more than losing the battery... and only slightly less than having my (older) sister pretend she could play FF3 and save over one of my games.
