SNES Super Game Boy

Why would a piece of hardware that came out more than half a decade before the GBA be able to play it's games? If you even look at the damn thing you can tell a GBA cart would not work.

No of course they don't. Think real hard about what you're saying. The GBA didn't even exist when the Super Game Boy came out, in fact they're a whole console generation apart.

On a related note, though, is there any way to play GBA games on your tv? Some of the games look fun, but I don't own a GBA (don't plan on getting one) and I hate looking at a tiny screen like that anyway.

I can't tell.. are we adding another smartass reply to the obvious OP? Or do you really not know of the Game Boy Player?

Guys, we understand.. he realizes it was wrong.. leave it be. We keep making asshole smartass responses like that and it scares the noobies off. He asked a question (albeit one we'd consider pretty obvious).. he got answered, let it die.

Hey int80h I posted that googleit link the other day in the chat forum! Guess I deserved it though, since I was too lazy to bother.

And, no I wasn't being sarcastic, I haven't owned a portable game system since the original Gameboy came out so I don't keep up with ANY of that stuff. Game Boy Player eh?

The Game Boy Player is a Gamecube accesory, it lets you play all of your GBA games (as well as Game Boy color and Game Boy games I assume) through the Gamecube with your controllers. If you don't have a GCN, you're pretty much SOL. You basically also can't find the thing for less than $50.. so a GBA (non-SP) will probably keep you at about the same money and still give you portability.

I'll confirm the GB Player played all the old original Gameboy and GB Color games I own, and sometimes you can get lucky and find a used GB Player at EB or GS then they go for about $40, but those are usually few and far between.

There's also the 3rd Party one made by Datel. It plugs in through your memory card port on a GCN and runs about $30, however it will not play the older games and from what I hear about it, it even has a few incombatibilities with GBA games.
Does anyone know if you can play Game Boy Advance games on the old SNES super game boy cartridge?
