Amazon is currently offering a $10 discount off the purchase of the Blu-ray of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'. Just input the promotional code "snowhite" (only one W) at checkout. If used on the combo edition with Blu-ray packaging, this brings the final price to $9.99; but it allegedly also works on the other different BD editions of the movie.
What is the difference between the version that amazon has for $24.99 and the one that is $25.99?
one is bluray packaging and the other one is a dvd packaging. just different color slip cover. thats what i think.
Won't be no free steelbook like at BB
most people dont care about a metallic box for their movies.

personally i dont think the extra case is worth $10+ in this case.

having said that, i hope this pops up in my goldbox... my BD buy limit is like 13$ =P

There is a $10 printable coupon making it about $16-17 so moot in this case.
There is a $10 printable coupon making it about $16-17 so moot in this case.
It's supposed to be $25.99 on release, so it'll be $15.99 AC. Tax should bring it up to about $17-$17.50 for most people, so it'll be about $2.50 for the steelbook's "cost".

I think I can deal with $2.50 for the steelbook over the non-steelbook version.

I am not sure if anyone cares but if you buy Snow White, Along with Tinkerbell and the lost Treasure, you get an automatic $8 discount + $10 code is a good deal for both. I know not everyone will want Tinkerbell, but my kid loved the first one so this is a good deal to me.

How are you getting that $8 to apply I tried adding both and it just gives me the $10 discount? Nevermind it has to be the lower priced Snowwhite 24.99 in cart or $8 discount won't apply. Thanks Op my daughters love Tinkerbell.

Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but you only need 1 cent to get free shipping on this since Amazon still considers this a $24.99 product.

Can anyone explain how to get the additional $8 of with the purchase of Tinkerbell? I can't seem to get anything other that the coupon off in the cart?

Thanks in Advance,
Wes
Is there a link for the BB steelbook? Just searched for it and only saw the regular version :(
Someone said they pulled it from the website, though you can see it in-store, as they're still taking pre-orders on it up until 10/05/09.

Can someone please post a link to the $10 printable coupon? I dont see it here - http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213827

I'd definately pay $2.50 for a steelbook, but going to bestbuy to preorder and going back again to pick up for a movie I haven't watched since I was 8 years old seems like a lot of work, especially when I have amazon prime right now.

I pre-ordered this at best buy to get the steelbook, BUT what is the pay off amount of the Blu-Ray at Best Buy?

u can technically cancel your preorder at bb and keep the steelbook.. that is what they told me.. and what i did. although my receipt only said the 7.50+tax on the preorder and doesnt list the 14.99 steelbook price and subtracting that to 0
It'll be $24.99 less what you paid (and the upgrade coupon, if you have it).
I didn't see it had dropped to $24.99, so that's one less dollar I need to worry about. Looks like the steelbook "difference" in price is just tax on $14.99 over the Amazon price without it.

IMO, I doubt that would happen, though if it was really "free", there wouldn't be a $14.99 charge for it when you bought it on its own.

odd, it kept telling me the code wouldn't work. So I deleted it from my cart and tried again and this time the promotion was already applied before I even put in the code. /shrug, whatever works!

Check the fine print on the TINK code, it says it cannot be applied with any other discounts including other promotional codes so you can't use "TINKSNOW" and "SNOWHITE" together.

I posted about the $8off a few months ago, it was some weird glitch that took it off automatically when ordering Snow White and Tinkerbell together.

Well regardless of the matter, I E-Mailed Amazon about the "snowhite" promo code and they credited $10off to my order. I get Tinker Bell and Snow White for $31.98.

BTW Thanks OP for "snowhite" promo

I'm not super interested in this movie (though it is a classic), but considering the low price on what would normally be an expensive Blu-Ray, I had to get it.

To think, I was hoping to wait on buying this until Christmas deals showed up or something... but for $15 I knew I had to get it.
Thanks. $17.97 including shipping. I was gonna wait until $19.99, but I'll take it now.
cancel your order and order again with the world of warcraft free trail which is 0.01. you'll get free shipping for $15 even. or be even smarter and buy it from TRU for $10 and get a $5 gc for preodering.;)

hah i jumped too quicky at this offer without looking at the above threads..im gonna cancel and go with the TRU offer

to anyone still buying this at amazon, it is a great deal, however you can go to toys r us and you can get it for this price you can get it for a hell of a lot cheaper, and no shipping and worrying if it will get banged up.

also, i am not trying to take anything away from the op, just trying to help people save money.

good job op, i had this deal before the toy r us deal broke.
