Snowday!!!!!!!!

4 years ago when I was the assistant manager at radio shack we got hit with a big one up here. My manager, who lived out in WVA couldn't make it, nor could anyone else who lived closer to the store. He still WANTED me to open the store as people will be out needing batteries and other emergency supplies we carry. NO ONE ELSE came to help me out and we had like 6 customers during my 10 hr shift by myself :whistle2:( Had less then 200 dollars in sales. That was just fucken messed up. Any boss who tells you to come in or lose your job , well they can't do that because its not worth a car wreck just to get to work for 10 bucks an hour. fuck that.

Anyhow, FCPS just announced school is closed TOMORROW!! WOOT, but I already set up to take the day off lol :p They finally plowed my street and most of the light snow is melting fast :)

Thanks to clear skies, most of the snow on my cars melted this afternoon. Much like that pic though they're still surrounded by 2' snowdrifts, so I won't be going anywhere today...

I got stranded once myself, in the middle of a Blizzard, at the grocery store I worked in, with one other girl my age (who was a assistant front end manager). We held down the fort and kept the store open from 5 PM till 10 PM with just the two of us, and had 1 customer. Luckily my parents were good sports and came and picked me up, but the highways had got shut down.

That's kool. Both of the deans are family friends of mine. My dad's an executive in residence at Temple. He teaches a lot of MBA classes. He also judges most of the competitions at Temple. I liked it there but I couldnt stand being so close to home and unfortunately, Temple's biggest problem is that they believe in giving everyone an equal opportunity for education, thus why they arent very selective and why they dont have the excellent reputation that they should have.
 
And graduation requirements are much lower now than they used to be. When I started it was a 2.3 in accounting to graduate, now it's a 2.0.
 
Yeah, it's terrible. We've spent time talking to the Deans about it. They agree with us, but they havent changed much.
 
My college and stuff has been closed two days now, so I'm just kind of sitting around doing homework and playing 360. Xbox Live is cool even though I suck at about everything.

I already fell on my ass from ice. =\

I got off today too... unfortunately I wasted pretty much my whole day (only read statistics book for about an hour). Oh well. Here's hoping to tomorrow off too! Chances look pretty slim currently...
 
Hehe, yeah. I kinda wish I coulda just gone to a normal college like everyone else, but hey, money sucks.

I wish I had another snow day. :cry: Unfortunately, there's a 0% chance of that. I just hate my fucking biology lab. It's filled with morons who take at least 30-40 minutes longer than my group to do stuff and the TA has to wait on them to proceed with later parts of the lab. It was a wise decision indeed to bring a comic book last week to class.
 
Yeah it kicks ass. Unfortunatly I have online classes and those don't have snow days. =( But yeah, it's pretty good cus I've just been trying to rack up points for that 360 rewards thing, even though all I'll get is Contra, oh well.
