I picked up Excitetruck today thanks to Rhyno's awesome, trade 2 (they must sell used for 24.99 or up), get 1 new free. This seems to be the most ignored game at launch, but after hearing a few good things on it from X-Play and enjoying the demo, I figured I'd pick it up. Anyone else got some decent custom soundtracks or such they'd feel like posting?

i picked it up. got a great deal it was only 15 bucks (after a trading in a free game and discount) and i enjoy it quite a bit. i dont think its the deepest racer, but i have fun. and the 2 player is pretty fun. but i think one of the biggest reasons i like it is the custom sound tracks. nothing like racing to rhapsody.

I bought it and I like it, but it does get frustrating to me at parts (mainly how QUICKLY you can go from 1st to last place and vise-versa - that's especially hurtful in that final lap when you accidentally run into one of the millions of trees, haha - then boom, you've lost your 50 point bonus). It's a fun game, though - I'm actually still learning to do spins and whatnot, I haven't put a ton of time into the game at this point.

It's a helluva lot more fun than I had initially given it credit for. Once you get into it and realize the point is more to be reckless than just fast, it's a blast. The controls seemed too touchy at first, but now I quite like them.

Custom soundtracks are great... I've been using Pegboy's "Strong Reaction," and stuff from Roger Miret & The Disasters, the Jelvins, and Bad Religion.

I got it along with my zelda preorder before I even got my Wii. I played the demo in gamestop and I knew it would be a blast. I've cleared the excite mode with all S ranks, but super excite is going to be a challenge...

I put some of my mp3s on the card that I thought would fit the mood, it's great.

I bought it when I picked up my Wii and the first time I played it, I was wishing I could get my money back. We started playing it again over Thanksgiving break and found out that it just takes a little time to get used to the controls... I think the game is a blast. I can't wait to find out what the Wii can do once the game developers really get used to the system. As far as car games go, a GTA or Driver game would be awesome.

I have it. It's a ton of fun. And I put my own MP3's on the SD card so it plays my music. :)

I got it at launch but ended up returning it for another game... we rented it after, and now I wish I hadn't taken it back! I got CoD, SMB:BB and that at launch... returned it for Trauma Center... wishing I'd returned SMB:BB for TC now :p

I'm trying to get a deal on it now... and will give it to hubby for Christmas (hehehe, aren't I sneaky? ;D). Waiting for buy.com to get it back in stock *crossing fingers*

It's a BLAST... i think my favorite part is when you get a star for a nice crash ;)

I was frustrated with it until i realized the point wasn't entirely to come in first. When I was more concerned about getting stars then the racing became more fun. I still can't do a 720 though. The movement to do one just isn't clicking for me.

With Zelda out of the limelight for a bit I've spent some more time with this recently, and I really do like it. It's not worth $50 I don't think (it was a launch-excitement splurge on my part. :) ), but it's fun, and I do hope for a more robust sequel down the line. :)

All you gotta do is pop it up in the opposite direction right at the end of the 360 and you'll go for another spin (timing is different for each truck though, so it's not always easy). The best I've done is a 1440.

Played a bunch a few minutes ago and I've only got the Platinum Cup left.

It took me a while, I remember when I first did the tutorial it felt like it was impossible to get a 720.

But yeah, just hold 1 and a direction on the d-pad, quickly go in one direction, then hold in the other, and once you make it around 360 just do it again. It only takes a quick turn before holding for the spin.

On some of the trucks it's a lot slower and harder to get the timing right so that you don't waste time going back and forth.

^ Yup, I could NOT get past the 720 mode in the tutorials, but after practicing a bit in the race situations, I've been able to go there and beyond. It's all timing, like SpazX said - just try every different speed of turning until you feel it. It's hard to describe accurately.
I enjoy it...It's a fun arcade racer...If you were a fan of arcade racers in the early 90's...Then you'll love this
Good way of putting it...which reminds me--I want a San Francisco Rush game for Wii.

I like it a lot... The tree runs right after a POW have helped me get S ranikings on quite a few races... once Super Excite is beat with all S rankings then mirror mode opens up. Thats where I have loaned ti to a friend for a while.

Its a fun game if only they would have allowed yoo to race co op with the PC cars then it would have been better. Otherwise its a blast.
Hell yeah...I'd settle for Rush 2 on the VC!!
you might be dissapointed... I played the rush series just a year ago and it was pretty outdated.. maybe not though.

I picked it up at launch. Played it for a few hours but Zelda and my 360 take up most of my gaming time right now. It was fun for the most part. Took a little while to get used to the controls but if you want a fun arcade racer it's not a bad choice. Does seem like the single player will be kind of on the short side though.

I like the game alot. But I like these types of out of control arcade racers. This one has a good combination of speed, multiple routes, off-roadiing, tricks/techniques to master, big air, terrain and wide open views.

It's not a title that screams hey I got a lot for my money. But what's there is done well and presented well. I'm not talking AAA production, but solid. And at it's core it's fun.

I recommend it.
