So did the Nano take the place of the Mini?

I was looking at the ipod website and didn't see any minis. Am I just overlooking them or are they gone?

As far as looks go I liked the mini better and was bummed to not see it.

when i went to that site about 2 days ago i saw the mini ipods there and most likely the nano could have taken the place of the mini since its the same price as a mini its just smaller and it has all that new stuff like pictures

Um...the Nano is more expensive than the Mini's.

4 GB Mini's = $199
6 GB Mini's = $249

2 GB Nano = $199
4 GB Nano = $249

The flash-based drives are much more reliable, though, and most people who buy Minis aren't doing it for the storage capacity.

The mini has been discontinued and replaced with the nano, although they still sell re-furbished minis on apple.com (and school store), and the stores still sell them of course. I don't know if there going to be reduced in price but it would be great if they did. Bye-Bye mini!
