That's the big question!

I smoke the herb very often, but aside from that, I'm fairly clean. I've tryed vicodin (snorted), and that just.. well.. made me feel weird and very talkative. Shrooms once, nothing that great. PCP once, craziest shit ever.

My budget can't really afford a huge drug habit. So anyways, how many of you are Cheap Ass Junkie's, or do you despise drugs?

err....hopefullly ur not on the herb now...

in all honesty, i have not done any b4 and i dont plan to in the future
5 more posts b4 its locked :p

I am a man of my word.

Cheapy said he doesn't mind the topic, as long as controversial topics (don't ask us to define what is "controversial," you know if it is or not) be placed in the VS forums. This way, they won't appear on the main page, something that can prove a problem if Cheapy's affiliates see it. Enjoy.

I have tried pot(once) and cigarettes(once) and vics(once), only thing I ever liked was drinking and since I turned 20 I hardly do that anymore.

There were always jokes about me being a pothead in high school. I think it was mainly due to the fact that I never actually tried, half assed everything, had no idea what was going on in class since I was trying to sleep most of the time. Though it was odd that it originated in my 10th grade history class, which I had the highest grade in. Though I have never actually tried pot or any hard drugs. The only drugs I use aren't really considered drugs by the average person, such as alcohol (though not to get drunk), caffeine etc.

How many people here are still supporting Bush? :D
I am 17, and I have never smoked, drunk alcoholic beverages, or done any illegal drugs. Seriously, what is the point?
Alcohol tastes good, though I've never been really drunk.

Haha you prolly think drunk people are just a bunch of slurring slutty idiots. You never really know until you try it.

I'm 18 and I haven't done any drugs. Smoking is really gross IMO, and the only time I've ever had anything to drink is when my parents make alcoholic beverages for New Years, but what they make doesn't have much alcohol in them.

Perhaps you should rephrase the question to:

Have you ever taken non-regulated government banned substances, or have you only used socially approved, government regulated, and commercially marketed drugs?

In that case, yes. As I have drank coffee, Mountain Dew, Pepsi, taken Tylenol & Ibprofin, Nyquil, and probably a host of other harmful-yet-legal substances.

As many as I can.
Don't you have alot of kids?
yeah which makes the "as many as I can" statement even more true..

I can't do things around my kids or if I am gonna be around them. So it's only on special occasions...but still...it's as many as I can. :)

I've never used illegal drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes and have absolutely no desire to make them a part of my life in the future. I haven't taken anything OTC for years. When I do drink "soda" it's caffeine free.
I knew a kid who snorted Kool-Aid powder once. He was kind of a dumbass, though.
snort sour skittles powder and you bleed out of your eyes

my ...uhh... friend did it

alcohol a few times, but i really dont want to end up like my brother.

I've pulled a few of my friends out of the hospital a few times in my life. Many of them overdosed on smack or some other shit.

Personally, I can never do that shit. Its too hard to watch people go down like that. I have too much going for me.

I never thought I find myself here, but I've recently starting doing weed in the last few months. I enjoy it, but half the time you get stuck with a bunch of posers who do it to feel cool as opposed to actually just trying to get high. I also will have a very, very large drink and mix in tylenol. I would not recommend doing that though. I can handle it, but I've heard some bad stories about people who can't...

alcohol smells nasty. Not quite as nasty as vinegar, but that's probably because vinegar is spoiled alcohol to begin with.

Though i am as clean as a slate(Save Alcohol), i have had that brought into question by an uncountable amount of people, because im either really uncolltrollable and full of energy, or i am a tired, careless slacker, just today a teacher in my school took me down to the attendance office to talk to the Ass. Princ. on the count that i slept through two periods straight, apparently i wasnt woken as some form of punsihment so that i know have a cut, and two detentions, plus the work to make up, but hell, i stopped caring after 10 years of Attitude Perfection in school. In regards to how i like drinking, im irish, and i have had many a foriegn drink in ireland, especially their version of the Long Island Iced Tea, which is half backwash, half leftovers, 100% drunken fun garunteed

Defender, I think I'd like you if we met. I like your attitude.

Definitely.

Back on topic, those of you who will never take a drink, you don't know what you're missing. Not the buzz, or the drunkeness, or especially the hangover, but the taste of a delicious stout on a cool night watching the stars pop out.

Or the atmosphere of a pub right around happy hour.

A well-matched wine rolling off your tongue right after a bite of a gourmet meal.

A mixed drink on the beach, bright and crisp like the morning sun, or colorful and rich like the sunset.

Sitting with your Dad, having a beer. The sense off community that it creates.

Alcohol has been a part of our civilization as long as we have been a civilization. Some anthropologists/archeologists believe that the reason we stopped being hunter/gatherers was to brew alcohol.

I think everyone should be well and truly drunk once in their lives, if for no other reason to feel a hangover, to comprehend that not everything that seems good is, and that anything, no matter how good, taken to excess becomes bad.

Alcohol is not something normal, something mundane, it is sublime. It is happiness distilled, community fostered, flavor mastered, and even, I dare say a little bit of truth.

I can't think of a better argument for a loving God than that there is an organism on this planet who's sole purpose is to make us feel good.

I've never done any drugs intentionally but I've had some asshole spill cocaine in my beer. I wasn't looking at it and after I shotgunned it I don't remember what happened next. Weirdest feeling. I woke up in the hospital and my parents bitching me out thinking I intentially tried to kill myself w/ drugs and alcohol. I didn't squeal on the guy but I kicked his ass for doing that shit to me. Anyway, I think that alcohol is an acquired taste. I had to hold my nose the first time I tried my first beer and it still didn't taste right. It wasn't until I discovered imports (Mexican, German, etc.) that I actually started liking the taste. I still can't stand domestic but if I'm socializing and that's all they have, it's now tolerable.

Spoken like a true alcoholic.

Never used and never will. Lost an uncle to a drunk driver, another uncle IS a drunk driver, one uses heroin and coke, another uncle is a drug dealer. I don't need it in my life. If I need an escape I have CAG, anime, games, sports...all kinds of other stuff.

Not an escape.

I just don't understand. You can appreciate alcohol and not be unsafe. It's like guns. A gun is a wonderful thing, you can feed yourself with it, defend yourself, let off some steam, but if you're irresponsible, you can do a great deal of harm with it.

I blame drunk driving deaths firmly where they belong, on the idiotic people who drive unsafely.

It is an escape for a lot of people because I have seen it first hand. My uncle couldn't deal with a lot of thie shit in his life so he started heavily drinking. Not for fun, not to party, just to forget his troubles. All it did was get him in jail for DUI. Drunk driving deaths are because of drunk drivers. I don't care what people do in their homes. Live and let live I always say. People can get "tore up" all they want at home. I couldn't give less of a damn. But if someone is drinking and driving, they can go to hell. I'm sorry but when you lose someone because some asshole decides to drink and drive, you tend to feel strongly about it.

Plenty o' weed smoked in my day, acid a few times, shrooms once. These days it's just caffeine cuz I got a daytime job and I'm doin' alright.

I have drank a few times. Once I was drunk off my ass. But that was like 5 or 6 years ago (I am 20 now). I don't even smoke laundry detergent now...

While I agree that the blame goes squarely on the individuals involved, I think it's ignorant to suggest that alcohol, drugs, etc. are not used as an escape for some people. Not making excuses. People are responsible for their own actions. Those that turn to drugs, etc. for their escape just made the wrong choice IMO and that is where the problem lies. You have to choose a more healthy escape like exercise or something.

Hell, I am sure that there are people on this site that use buying cheapass games as an escape from the fact that they have no time to play their games. :D

Yeah, and in the times of the American Founding Fathers, day laborers were paid with cash and grog (a weak mix of water and rum). It was also thought that drinking beer throughout the day was a good thing for the body.

I have no idea why "finding Jesus" is synonymous with giving up all alcohol. Jesus was a long-haired Arab hippie who thought he was a god, and according to myth he performed magical acts with intoxicants like turning water into wine. You really think he's the kind of guy who would care to make friends with buttoned-up war-hawk hypocrites (aka the modern Republican party) so that he could get them off the sauce?

If you have to think about that last question, just think about his relationship with the officials of the Roman Empire.
