Man, I love me the ignore user function.

Shrike/Casey/Mods who may talk to Cheapy or the technical type folks -- is it possible to get an entry added to the drop down shown when clicking on a user's name which says "add to your ignore list"... similar to "add to your buddy list" but for blocking purposes?

That'd be greeeeat. Yeah.

Breakfast - Nothing.
Lunch - Sweet N Sour Chicken With Rice at local chinese restaurant run by a friend
Dinner - The Arby's Beef N Cheddar thingie with fries and Sierra Mist.

I think this episode is of The Daily Show is old but it's fucking awesome. Maybe it's just because I'm smoking, but this has been one of the better episodes of the year(assuming it's an old one).

Speaking of food, I'm cutting down on my snacks. I figure that three big square meals will get me through the day.
 
Phew... didn't do my 4 miles, instead I just did 2 1/2 on an incline of 8 and burned off 400 calories.

Usually I try to burn off 400 - 600 and limit myself to 1000 a day.

I decided every Sunday I'm going to have a day to eat what I want so I don't start craving... seeing all this shit about pizza makes me want it.

This episode of The Shield was also very badass tonight.

I've always had the idea that deprivation is not good for you at all. Your body goes into famine survival mode, and slows down your metabolism. If you're hungry, you absolutely need to eat.

I dont think that kind of regimen can be historically linked with sustained weight loss, if thats what you're going for.

It's probably a bit more than that, I don't really have alot of food in my house right now too ;)

Once I start working and get a paycheck I can afford food again, but between rent and bills, not alot of cash for anything else.

Oh well, at least we'll (most likely) stop at the outlet mall in San Marcos, which kicks an unbelievable amount of ass.

I've been to that outlet mall. The only reason I ever went there was for that Music for Song place because they have video games that were often priced stupid. Other than that, I see no reason to go there.

There's plenty of great stuff supposedly coming, but who knows.

There's a rumor that Final Doom is supposed to show up eventually since the ESRB recently rated it for the 360. Adding that to the "Confirmed" List via wikipedia, there's 47 games scheduled. I figure they're going to have to start rolling out more than one title a week. Two retro games or one original title a week would work for me.

I know I am in the minority, but I really only want the rehashes. Most of the new stuff has not struck my fancy where as I have made several purchases of the classic games.

Hopefully Fatal Fury or Super C comes out soon.

I actually dig the properly handled retro titles more now, but that may be because I was completely burned on Novadrome. Outside of The Behemoth titles, Mad Trax, and Space Giraffe, I don't think I'd buy any of 800+ point indie titles. Maybe Bugs of War, but only because NinjaBee is fantasic people.

I can't wait for Settlers of Catan to arrive.

I think the Virtual Console has things it can learn from XBLA, and vice versa. Hopefully some copy cating goes on.

Also, what do you guys think will happen to our VC/XBLA games next generation?

Hmm...tough one. MS and Ninty will prolly handle it differently.

:360: Going by the previous shift, you'll lose them. The 1080X will have different hardware, thus YOUR saves, Live arcade things, acheivements will all dissapear. You'll be able to EASILY re-buy those things on the NEW Live though.

Best case scenario for 360-1080X transition: buying a memory unit or other proprietary item to move it over in a clunky fashion(like the PS1/2 to PS3 card adapter). But there'll still be compatibility problems for which MS will "under promise and over deliver" on fixing ;)

:wii: The Wii2 will prolly have the emulators and SD card support built-in. Hell, the thing may even still play GC games as well.

Please note that this is only speculation. While the MS 1080X will probably come out in Fall '08 :lol:, Nintendo might keep the Wii around for longer than the usual 5 year cycle.

I strolled into work a half-hour late this morning. Of course, no one cared because none of my superiors are here today. I spoke to my boss yesterday afternoon, and she had no work for me to do, and told me she'd be out today. So, I've officially done no work for about 2 days now.

I'll probably try and get out a bit early since I have to work from 6-midnight at my other job tonight.
