Oh yeah, Wii jokes are everywhere. I think I'm gonna go back to my house in a bit. My friend's parents are outta town this weekend, so we all hung out over here, doin the chick-night thing. I'm coming back over here later tonight, since there's gonna be a party.

And yea, you're almost a true nerd, but not quite ;)
I'm still on the first dungeon in Zelda (with the monkeys). I've been staying at my girl friend's house, so I haven't been able to play with my Wii :whistle2:(
So go into the bathroom.

*rimshot* "Thanks. I'll be here all night folks! Try the veal."

OMG LOLZ!

No, no damnit. We need to move to the next one!

There we go

I'll make it eventually. It's my dream to walk into a comic shop and be welcomed with open Dorito-smelling arms, instead of being looked upon as an outsider.
That's what I get for having an Oblivion sig/avy
Yep
"Shouldn't you be at home playing with your computer?"

Awesome. Done buying books! Total for 4 books (1 paperback): $539 or so.

I love you, college. I'd better be a fucking Economics WIZARD when I get out...
I hear they love that in the Army.

4 books for $500 eh? I always has this idea in college that you could go and painstackingly photocopy each page at like 5 cents a piece, hole punch them and stick it in a binder. Even the hardiest of books would just be $20-30. It would take you the whole day, and you'd save a couple hundred bucks

Ouch, $539..I got all four of mine for this semester for around $200 total.

Easier said than done, my friend. It's hard to get those textbooks, as most school libraries don't stock them (for obvious reasons), and the book stores never have copiers in them (again, for obvious reasons). In OH, we have OhioLink, which allows you to borrow books from colleges statewide (they mail them to your school library), but it's still difficult to find what you're looking for. I've basically bent over and accepted it.

Yeah, Econ books are comically expensive. Very few of them have pictures/color to justify the high price. Maybe that's why there's so many management majors and so few Econ majors?

You buy them and return them the next day because you dropped the class, or just borrow/bribe them away from a classmate. Finding a self serve copier isnt rocket science.

You fail economics just by spending $500 on books :p

Ha, thing is, you need a drop slip to return them at my school, otherwise you're stuck with them. They try to nail ye anyway they can. Also, you'd probably have better results going to Kinko's, as anytime I've ever photocopied ANYTHING at one of those $.10 machines it looks like shit.

Ouch
If anything, it makes me a better Economist because it's supporting our economy you communist! ;)

I used to buy the book before a test, use it, and return it if I didn't feel like checking them out of the library (since you had to stay in the library).

The campus bookstore had a 2 day return policy no questions asked.

I got to go to the bookstore tomorrow. Need to get the ISBN numbers on the books so I can order them from half.com. I should also list my books from last semester tonight.

Man, what a chill ass day. I'm sitting here, listening to Django Reinhardt, drinking British Tea and smoking. Doesn't get much better than that, everyone.

I think our campus bookstore, which shut the other two nearby campus bookstores out of business and jacked the prices even higher, had a guard against that.

Halfway through the semester, they cleared all the shelves and basically didnt do much except slowly start to stock a few books that were going to be used next semester. And classes change the editions or actual books used so much that the previous edition that you need for the current class wouldnt be available in many cases
 I know.

Oh Karsh, guess whats kicking my ass now? Jumpin jack fucking flash on sweatin'....Ive been at it since 8am
Man I do not want to get there. I've just started Sweatin' last night and was getting my ass kicked on I Was Born To Love You cause it's so ungodly slow. Hopefully I'll get past it later.
I've only put in just over 7 hours, as I'm only playing when my gf is there to watch. Actually, I've just left my cube over at her place for the last week or so.

Maybe I should try to get some time in tonight ... :whistle2:k
I'm near the 5th dungeon and I'm at about 19 hours. I haven't spent a lot of time exploring so I'm planning on doing that soon. I've basically just been playing this the past couple days though.

I wonder what I should eat for dinner.

I'm thinking Chinese.

I hate surprises.

Is that Mike Mignola art in your signature, Liquid?

I'm not exploring much, either.

It's from a movie poster for Pan's Labyrinth, which is directed by Guillermo del Toro, who directed Hellboy, though.

Yeah. It's definitely Mignola, then.

(del Toro and Mignola have a creative relationship)
Yeah. It's definitely Mignola, then.

(del Toro and Mignola have a creative relationship)
I know that they have a relationship (from my googling to find the artist), but I couldn't find Mignola's name in reference to the posters themselves, so I just assumed no.

Hm...what do you guys think, is my sig better with the line it has now ("Innocence has a power evil cannot imagine") or with the line it had before ("In misery, there can be beauty")?

edit: forgot to link you to the poster itself. You can probably determine whether or not it's Mignola's work or not if you see the whole think, since you are more familiar with it than I am.

Found out I had a friend who works at EB, and they're expecting Wiis next week, if anyone is seriously screwed.

Hmmm nice to see an 8.5 for Lost Planet on IGN, I was looking forward to it. Too bad I don't have a spare 60 bucks laying around. Blockbuster here I come.
I hope Xbox repair support is quick. I am already having Gears withdrawls.

Ouch, when did yours go down?
This morning around 4AM. Was going to play some Battlefield and the disc drive would not read.

Thats what you get for playing at 4 AM.

You where probably sleepy and put a cookie in the disk drive by mistake.

Is this the sumo wrestling match against the Goron, after you get the iron boots from the mayor and make your way up the mountain?

If so, that's where I am too. Haven't played much recently though.

I went to Target to get AC and ended up picking up Counter Strike Source for thirty bucks... wanted to try it out. Apparantly it comes with Half Life 2: Deathmatch and Day of Defeat: Source as well. Sounds fun.

I still need to buy Oblivion but I don't think my computer will be able to run it all that well.

And lastly, today I saw The Animation Show vol. 1 and 2 at my local Target for 20 bucks... isn't that supposed to be like next week?

Well in any case I didn't pick it up since I had no idea what it was but it looks pretty entertaining now that I'm looking it up. I might go back tomorrow and get it. Anyone seen it?
Hmmm nice to see an 8.5 for Lost Planet on IGN, I was looking forward to it. Too bad I don't have a spare 60 bucks laying around. Blockbuster here I come.
I can't wait to get this game.

Oh, and also, I found my 10,000 Days CD that I've been looking for, and it makes me yearn to... uh, obtain some of the past Tool CDs that I don't have. I gotta get on that.
Thats what you get for playing at 4 AM.

Naw my sleep schedule has been thrown off since exams so I have been going to bed around 6.

Aw, fuck. My relatives were leaving today (I like'em and all, but two weeks is too long of having to deal with them), but nooooo, their flight got delayed or something like that and now they're leaving tomorrow.
Sigh...I was going to see Children of Men too, but now I have to stay home and play host along with my parents.

If done right The Crossing could be one of the coolest games ever. Multiplayer and Single player are actually combined in the game and they are using the Source engine (along with getting help from Valve).
