How the bloody hell do I get rid of these things for the maximum value?

Does EB/GameStop buy back broken ones? One is a launch console, one just kind of shit the bed last year. I tried bringing the newer one to Wal*Mart, but I didn't have a reciept and they wouldn't hear of it.

So, what to do with these?
 
360 or OG Xboxes?

Either way, I'd just sell them on eBay. People need parts, just don't expect a ton of money.
 
Try ebay! The trade in value xbox to eb/gamestop is a complete joke. I think someone got like $28-$30 store creidt for fully fuctional system. It kinda hard to trade in defective systems to them anymore, after numerous reports of faulty systems, employees are force to test each system before they are traded in.


I quickly browsed complete auctions on ebay, the value seem to average about $30-$50 for broken system. Wow,even broken system will net you more money then gamestop. Just state the problem in your auction description, most people buy them for parts or repair them so they can resell it.

what kind of broken? if you're interested in fixing them or one of them and you're getting error codes, there's a list here. you could find a replacement dvd drive or hd on ebay if that's you're problem. could be a fun project, but probably wouldn't be worth it if you're just gonna sell them afterward.
 
I think it's just the HDDs in them. OG Xboxes, by the by.

I was thinking of modding one, but that's just not worth my time or money at this point. I really hate eBaying crap like this, I'm pretty sure one of them has the Samsung drive, so that might be a good piece to hock on eBay, though.

Actually, I'd take one for $15ish plus shipping via a USPS priority mail flat rate box if the OP would be willing to do it. I mean, if the system is completely dead, there's no real value left in it.

However, I'd want the more recent one for $15 plus ship, because there's the SLIM chance I could get it to at least boot up. And well, just messing with it would be worth the $15 IMO.

I bought an old 'fat' PS2 for about that price about 2-3 years ago, took it apart COMPLETELY(I'm talking like down to almost all the components). The only parts I didn't take apart were the 2 boards and their respective chips.

Even more fun was figuring out how the F to put it all back together. I love a challenge.
 
If the drive in either of those xboxs is still working, I'd be willing to trade some stuff for just the drive. I got a xbox with a drive that needs replacing.
