So I saw this at the CES..Gametel

This item is supposed to hook up to your smart phone to make video games easier to play. Seems to remind me of the N-Gage taco failure. Of course I never play games on my phone. I'd just prefer to buy a portable gaming device that is dedicated. Maybe it's just me. I wonder what others think of this..Here is the link from yahoo.

Why? It isn't some wierd phone design. It is an accessory that attaches to your cell phone and probably connects via Bluetooth. If the clamps to the phone are solid enough, I can see this being very useful, especially for emulators. I wonder if it has shoulder buttons, tho.

That's actually not a bad idea.. if it works. And it folds up/away in some manner.

This is very similar to what I always imagined Apple would make as a controller accessory, like Vinny says though I think it would be more convenient if it folds up, that dpad looks a bit iffy too. After seeing Razer's gaming tablet thing I think I kinda prefer their controller idea, something that can run along the sides instead of the bottom of the phone.
