So just got a PS3.. Recommend Cheap/Good games please

So I decided I was done being a dork and sold my World of Warcraft account.
Took that money and bought a PS3. Got a used 80gb off craigslist for $220.

Recommend me some good cheaper games. On the way home from buying it I stopped at the local video store and picked up Infamous so will give that a try in a bit here.

I like, RPG's, Racing, Action/Adventure games. Kinda not into sports will pick up a football or baseball game once in a great while although I am intrested in the UFC game.

I also need to look for a cheap Rockband 1 or 2 bundle.
 
GO BUY UNCHARTED RIGHT NOW:). It was my first PS3 game and to me it justified the $500 price tag of my 60 GB PS3 even though I already owned a 360. Some other games that are great and fairly cheap:

Ratchet and Clank Future
Valkyria Chronicles (best RPG on the PS3)
Mirror's Edge
Metal Gear Solid 4
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

There are a lot of other great games but these are the only cheap ones I can think of at the moment.
 
Yeah my local gamestop was sold out of it when I was there. Trying to snag this GH:WT bundle off ebay so far it's got an hour left and it's at $15.
 
Check out your local Kmart for cheap Rock Band SEs. I believe they are selling it for $14. Chances are slim but hey, you never know.

Thanks for the heads up!! JK, as far as cheap games go MGS4 is a solid game for $30 as a GH. Also the PSN has a few real good games, only down side is that unlike live not all games have a playable demo. Other games I liked that are cheap these days are.

Uncharted
Warhawk online only, still very active servers for this one.
Little Big Planet, this game is not for everyone though.

Grand Theft Auto IV.
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.
Dark Sector.
Enchanted Arms.

Must haves in my opinion:

LittleBigPlanet.
Valkyria Chronicles.
Street Fighter IV.
BlazBlue.
Folklore.
And a shit ton more!
 
Just won the GH:WT bundle. Got it for $16 + $13 shipping.

Yeah I want Heavenly Sword. I played it a bit at my friends when it first came out I really really liked it. Already reserved and paid off God Of War III.

Uncharted for sure. I love that game.

MGS4 is totally worth owning now that it's dropped in price, and I'd also recommend WipEout. For what you get it's a steal; even without the DLC they just released it's as good as any standalone retail game I've played.

Motorstorm is also very underrated. Pacific Rift is better, but Motorstorm is no joke and can probably be found for a song nowadays.

Also, if you can find it, Dead Space is awesome.
 
Yeah I started Dead Space on PC once. But then my video card died and I've been too lazy to replace it. My onboard was good enough for the rest of the games I played so meh.

I need to download FF7 also. I only played that through once. Got to the end beat the final boss fell asleep right afterwards. Then my brother erased my memory card.
 
If your going to be getting PSN games you may want to look into a sharegroup here on CAG. Cant go wrong with most of the PSN games at 1/5 the price.
 
As said by the others, Uncharted is a must buy! I agree with Silks. MGS4 and Wipeout HD are great. Be sure to get Wipeout's expansion if you decide to get the game. It's the best DLC I've ever purchased.

LittleBigPlanet (but GOTY is coming soon, so you may want to wait for that?)
Fallout 3 (Ditto with the GOTY coming in Oct; which'll save you $20-50)
Dead Space (Target is selling for $15 now, so run 'n get it if you can find it ;-)
Burnout Paradise
Condemned 2 Bloodshot

There are a ton of PSN games. Definitely look into the PSN Gameshare forum.

Like most of the folks, Uncharted, Ratchet, MGS4, and Burnout Paradise (GH: ~$30). Heavenly Sword and Street Fighter 4 are still pretty expensive (~$40 or more). I own those, so I can recommend them.
 
Grand Theft Auto IV is kinda cheap everywhere now. I would definitely look into the Blockbuster 'Buy 1, get 1' sale on games $14.99 and under they're having right now, since you can get some really good games for super cheap from it.
 
Uncharted is a good one to start with.
My advice for building a solid collection is to go to metacritic.com and look at which games rated 85 and up sound interesting to you then start hunting those down at the stores you have near you. I've gotten alot of the highest rated games this way.
 
Super Stardust. Yes, it's a PSN game. I don't care! In fact I... I think I'm going to go play it right now.

I have yet to get Uncharted, but I'm hoping for a price drop when Uncharted 2 is released.
