There is this thread http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=162819
I'd recommend Zelda. If your looking for multilayer/party games I'd check out Super monkey balls, and the tetris party game. Some people may recommend rayman raving rabbids and boom blox, but personally I didn't like either since most of their multilayer was turn based. Also I heard the new call of duty game is supposed to be good.

nights, castlevania and wario are worth a rent, as is deadly creatures and death jr (for the co-op), as well as no more heroes which is cheap
okami is a buy if you never played it and down to $20 now
de blob is borderline rent/buy if you feel you will get a lot of 2 player mileage out of it
boom blox is good fun
the wiiware has some solid games depending on your taste, lostwinds and goo at the top

I will second excite truck its pure arcade goodness. Now remember that the idea is to take as many risks as possible to get under constant boost and then try to keep the risks/boosts coming to boost the whole track...

madworld

just got it today and I love playing it, only possible concern is game lengtrh (6ish hours average I have heard). But the hard mode is supposed to be very hard, and worth playing again.

Okami is a must buy if you enjoy the zelda type games.

No more heroes is another beat em up game. It gets old kinda fast, and the overworld sucks. But it's fun and cheap.

World of goo is fun also, worth the 15$

I have heard bad things about both nights and castlevania, and dont trust anything sonic that isnt on the ds.

My top picks for Single Player:

Resident Evil 4;
Metroid Prime 3;
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2;
Super Mario Galaxy;

For Multiplayer, go with:

Boom Blox;
Samba de Amigo;
Mario Kart (which you already own, but it's such a great multiplayer game that should be mentioned again)
Wario Smooth Moves;

I've played all these games and can vouch for their awesomeness ; ) .
ENDLESS
OCEAN

My favorite Wii game and third favorite game ever.
I really should have chimed in here in a more constructive fashion, but mostly I want to say I'm glad to see Doomed around and pushing Endless Ocean. It is good. Good. Good. Good. Good.

Well my GF and I have been playing something like 4 hours a day of Mario Kart for the past 4 days now.

Mario Kart Wii let's you race online with up to 12 other people. And it lets you do it with 2 players from your own system. So it works good for us. You never have to worry about finding a server since it auto-matches you up, and you never have to worry about picking the track since everyone just votes on a track and it random picks one that one person voted on.

Besides that the only other game we've played toget was the wii sports boxing, tennis, and bowling.

It gets old kinda fast,

This is a lie. The overworld is deeply flawed, but once you get through the game once you barely need to touch it. And if you haven't beaten it at least once, you have to do that. It works itself out, however unpretty that is. NMH is a game where you can count up dozens of flaws without even thinking about it, but you stop writing the list half-way through because who cares, it's so awesome anyway. Here's a hint for people getting bored with the battle system: there's more to do than tap A. Experiment. Given that NMH is under $20 nowadays, there is absolutely no excuse to not own it if you even remotely like action games, and aren't afraid of gratuitous content (and awesome).

Also, Okami, Okami, Okami. Someone might've said that before me. I hope so. It's just that good. Even if you're not a huge fan of Zelda, give it a shot. Incredible game.

And this entire thread fails for not mentioning Zack and Wiki. Fun to play by yourself, or togther; it has a "co-op" mode that allows P2 to draw on the screen to make notes and help out.

Word of advice: don't play Zack and Wiki if you are easily frustrated! Some puzzles can be very difficult. Myself, I'm too stupid to figure it out, and to proud to ask for help or look up the solution on the Internet :p. Luckly, it was a rental.

I could see how someone would get bored while playing NMH, but I didn't. But it is still awesome, and for the price everyone should try it.

Zack and wiki seems fun, I own it but have only played the first few levels. It's in my backlog.
