So... my PS3 crapped out. Time to get a Wii.
I'm guessing he meant that he bought it when the 80GB model launched.
At least you have brains... kudos to you man. :applause:

As for the other guy.... :imwithst:

does the 360 breed hostility or something? I have never met a calm 360 fan in my life.
haha a Wii to sub a PS3... might as well get a gamecube

the only reason why your ps3 keep dying is cause you are not taking proper care of the system

my launch 60gb is still going and i play it A LOT.
Same here. I use the thing pretty much every day and frequently take it with me to friends houses and stuff like that and it still works just as well as it did day 1. Good stuff.

Not sure what the deal is with yours OP, but the warranty solution sounds like the best.

You'll definitely save money in the long run by buying a Wii, but that's mostly because once you knock out the six or seven quality titles, there's not much else.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone said they've bought a console at launch when they really just bought it on the release day of a different version. When you say launch, it implies you are talking about the launch.

Drama!

Trolling!

Fanboys!
Wasn't that the intended purpose?

As multiple others have pointed out. He has a newer model PS3 and is claiming he has paid $150 on 3 different occasions for repair by sony.

This would mean he would have had it for 2 years. Since you get the first year warranty and then after each repair you get an additional 90 days aka 3 months.

80gb system hasn't been out for 2 years. Get the shovel we needa scoop up this troll shit..

Yeah. I just realized that also. Maybe it's a vast Nintendo conspiracy to get back at Sony for saying that all their customers will buy a PS3 after they really decide to get a next-gen system.

I never felt like my Wii would break, but that is also because I never play it. As others have said, the Wii seems fun when you are about to buy it, but then you realize it isn't that fun.

I would consider a 360. The game selection is very similar to that of the PS3, and the 360 offers a robust online experience. Now you might be worried about hardware issues, but I really think those are overstated at this point. If you are really worried, buy a warranty from Best Buy, I hear those are great.

Listen Guys all the systems require LEAD FREE Solder. This stuff sucks you can literally install it with a hair drier. The 360 runs hotter than all. They are all timebombs but long usage, tight areas, no air movement, high tempatures, all quicken the process. All systems are trying to use 60 or 45 nan processors to lessen the heat but hot is hot. Just cool, cool and more cool. Get cold air in and hot out like an attic. Good Luck.
