So sick of GameSTOP!

CAGiversary!
Any time over the years if I have by chance taken it online to fill out the surveys on the GameStop receipts, and make positive compliments they tend to reply back to you in a positive manner.  "Oh were so glad you had a good experience with JO Blow " Now if  it its a negative experience, they completely ignore you with no reply's, now go figure right?  The most recent experience, I purchased a used game that was $19.99 with my Elite membership, and I had a $15 dollar off one pre-owned item.  Basic math with 6% sales tax would have you at $5.28 right.  Not with GameStop's math scale, it turned out to be $8.47. Now I get it that's its just over $3, but its the principal of the matter, not to mention how the store manager if you can call him that tried to give me some BS excuse why their system was right along with charging me the $8.47.  This of course isn't the first time I've had issues with them and I'm not wasting anymore time with previous experiences.  But I'm just so done with GameStop.  Maybe part of their problem is they hire to many flunkies then promote those flunkies out of desperation to have someone manager their stores I don't know.  Granted I'm referring to my local store specifically, I have visited many of their stores and some of the managers are good and GameStop should consider themselves lucky to have them.   Either way, from now on, I will do most of my gaming at other places such as Amazon.

19.99 starting price and .06 sales tax. Unless the OP was wrong.

I'm more curious if the OP realized he was being overcharged during the transaction and, if so, why he continued? He could always return the game if he's that upset.

Ah, you're right. I also screwed up the tax rate too, he/she said 6% not 8%.

I get their frustration though because it's very misleading. Kohl's pulls all kinds of the same fucking nonsense when trying to use coupons with kohl's cash and getting free shipping. Trying to buy Christmas gifts while combining promotions last year was a nightmare.
