So what $4.99 games did everyone end up buying today at Best BUy???

You probably should have picked up an MK&A game, as it could possible go up in value in the future. I heard that Acclaim had to destroy all remaining copies of the unsold MK&A games at the end of this year, due to a court order. I'm not 100% positive those games will increase in value, but it's something to think about.
 
In Memphis, I went to one BB, asked the guy in the games department, and he looked at me like I was nuts. I told him it wasn't advertised in the sales ad, then buttmonkey pulls out the ad and says "I don't see it in our ad, these are all the games we have on sale." "I think you are confused and saw DVDs."
I gave up and went to the other Best Buy, all I could find was RoadKill for PS2 (wanted for the XBox, but for 4.99, who's gonna argue), and Goblin Commander for PS2. I really didn't want Siberia for XBox, which was all I saw.
 
Hit another best buy today, Freedom Fighters, Pulse Racer and The Thing, think i'm calling it a day with these, rest on the list didn't interest me enough to waste the gas hunting them down.
 
Finally found Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure for PS2. I have wanted the game since it first came out but didn't want to spend more than $10 on it and $5 was even better.

Yeah, I've had to deal with my fair share of Memphis asshats. Good thing I'll never have to again.

I went to my local bb store in CA and only found Heaven and Everquest Online for PS2 for $5. But I didn't pick up anything because I don't want those two games. None of other games mention here sell for $5 at my local bb store. Are the games on the shelve or in the big box bin? I saw a big box bin labeled $5 per game but I only found some really bad games like casino and some other titles.
