So what are YOUR opinions of "Legendary" and "Destroy All Humans 3?"

CAGiversary!
The critics have not been kind to either one. Yet, I've played both of them and actually think they're not that bad. Certainly not as horrible as the reviews have indicated. Regardless, I'll probably pick up both once they drop to $19.99

Just wanted to know if I was crazy for liking these, or if others disagreed with the reviews

Thanks,

I disagree with Destroy all Humans reviews. I give it a 7/10. I can see where the negativity comes from though as all the missions can get repetitive.

I played and beat Legendary and I thought it was really fun. It had a pretty good story although it could be considered somewhat cliche with the "Someone has opened Pandora's Box". The game was pretty challenging. Overall it only took about 6-8 hours to beat on Normal Difficulty.

I heard Legendary had a lot of glitches/bugs, which resulted in the negativity. Otherwise i was mildly interested in the game.

I tried out Legendary when I picked it up for flipping, I was impressed with the first level, all the scenes of destruction were pretty well done, even if you the player didn't do a whole lot. After that it became a bit of a generic shooter with the obligatory sewer and subway levels, and I gave it the flip. Wanted to try multiplayer, but it was empty. Its an average shooter, I've played far worse on the 360, it was more exciting and interesting than either of the FEAR games, for example.

Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon doesn't deserve the horrible ratings it has gotten. It definitely has some problems but nothing game breaking. There are some glitches, but overall it feels like a Destroy All Humans game. Those games have never been high-end, my only real complaint against the game is that the pop-in is VERY noticeable when you are in the saucer.

Yeah but repetition in games gets ignored if it's made by Ubisoft Montreal, interestingly enough.

As an odd coincidence, they also have one of the biggest advertising budgets for spending game review websites.... Hmmmm

Hmm... That is kind of strange, I really didn't notice anything in the terms of glitches or bugs. At least not that I remember, or nothing that made me go "Wow... This game is broken". I actually thought it was a fairly complete game all in all.

Between flipping is when I beat Legendary (as I didn't actually buy it, and am somewhat glad as to how short it is). The train and sewer levels really aren't that bad, as they actually have some pretty cool suprises to them.

Just being nitpicky , but Destroy All Humans : Path of the Furon would be DaH "4" not 3. 3 would've been Destroy All Humans : Big Willy Unleashed on the Wii.

That being said , I never really had that much interest in DaH 3 or 4 when I knew that Pandemic wasn't working on the games anymore. When a series of good games changes development studios for production of later games , it's usually not for the better.

I am morbidly curious about Legendary though. Despite the crappy reviews I'd at least be interested in playing the game for it's "unique" subject matter. Same thing with Turning Point , which was from the same developer.
