I just got my PS3 and Resistance, but I wouldn't mind playing something else as well. So what games are worth picking up, in everyone's opinion?

madden . if u like madden.

cod3 god decent reviews.

ultimate alliance seems to be a fun little game and looks great on 360/ps3 compared to the ps2 version.

i dont have my ps3 yet :(
but dont forget to buy ur 63.00 ps3 games for about 44.50 shipped from buy.com +google checkout.
i ordered resistance from buy.com today.

That's interesting because I too picked up resistance but wasn't too keen to pick up any other titles. I say just wait for new games to come out with their reviews. There's bound for a killer app to come out eventually.

CoD3 seems good, but is plagued with some online issues like lag.

other than that, I dunno.

Honestly, I have heard good things about CoD, and I think that's about it. There are some decent games, but not $60 decent.

Ridge Racer 7 is even better than the PSP version IMO. Also has car customization and the online play is fun.

This is really the only reason I'm not out trying to get a PS3 right now. So far I've only wanted Resistance. All the other games are available on other systems. I'm sure in a few months they'll have some amazing games though.

Yea, I plan to buy a PS3 around March. Motorstorm and Heavenly Sword should be out by then. Not sure when WaHawk or Lair is supposed to come out, but I am guessing sometime around then.

Resistance is about the only good game until January hits. Then RainBox six comes out. You also have some great games hitting the shelves in March, April, June and finally December.

I'm enjoying Genji right now even though it got destroyed in the reviews. I'd recommend it if you like Onimusha type games.

Ridge Racer 7 is the only other decent game out right now. I have had a good time with it. But for some reason it doesn't look as clear as Ridge Racer 6, which seems odd. Anyway's I have had fun with Genji. It's not that good, and the camera is crap, but the graphics are rather pretty.

I would buy it off Playasia also, but there is no online in the Japanese version so that breaks the deal for me. I will wait.

I beat that on PC a year and a half ago, definatly more a PC shooter than a console one.

I tried Motorstorm out in Best Buy today and was really surprised. I thought it was great. I usually dislike racing games (exceptions for Forza and Gran Turismo 2) but this one looks good.

Buy Blast Factor.

Seriously.

It's just like Geometry Wars - it's probably the most fun you can have on the PS3 (short of putting in a previous-gen game, which is cheating).

Motorstorm looks fantastic in all the videos I've seen.

I'm enjoying Ultimate Alliance and Tiger Woods '07 immensely right now. Their worth the $60 if you're into those types of games.

Madden is OK. I've not been overly impressed with any of the '07 Madden games on any platform so far, and I love the Madden line.... Oh well, maybe '08 will be better.....

Resistance online is definately the most fun you can have on the PS3 right now, and I DID buy Blast Factor. I'm thinking of buying Cash Guns Chaos, because I downloaded the demo and really liked it.

What are everyones impressions of Genji? Worth renting?
