Is there any real difference between MegaMan X Collection and Megaman Anniversary Collection? Or is it worth picking up both?
Is that a joke?
i think hes being serious, anyways to answer the OP's question, megaman anniversary collection is MEGAMAN 1-8, megaman x collection is MEGAMAN X 1-6

Wow, this would be like if someone has what's the difference between Street Fighter & Street Fighter Alpha series. If you read reviews for it, they mention right off the bat that it's a different series.

Oh and Maigoyume, MMX Collection also has Mega Man Battle & Chase on it. Which to the OP, is the Mega Man included in Mega Man Anniversary Collection.
This thread suddenly reminded me that Capcom owes us a GBA or DS Mega Man collection. Lame.
i wish they'd compile all the MMZ games into one cart, same with the BN series :) of course thats wishful thinking

They cancelled that Mega Man Anniversary Collection for GBA. Supposedly the problem was that they were going to stick with the original GB versions, but the original roms were having problems working on GBA hardware, so they had to rebuild the collection from the ground up. During this, Capcom decided it wasn't worth the cost and cancelled it.

That still doesn't make much sense to me, I don't know why. I'd even consider donating the original five carts if it would help them make a fucking GBA collection.

*sigh*

It's just so funny, how a bunch of pirates and/or GBA homebrewers have been able to get it all to work flawlessly, but the geniuses at Capcom can't. Maybe Capcom should just release the....err, nevermind.
