So you finshed Halo 3 what are your thoughts? Warning spoilers within!

Finshed it on legendary the other day. Doesn't compare to Halo 1 story wise, but is much better then Halo 2's story. Gameplay is still pretty much the same, small encounters which are fun, but I did like the larger battles where you would be fighting scaribs. Was very impressed that they made an actual scarib fight and not just some scripted bot that would attack every 10 seconds. I can see myself going back and playin co-op on some levels, but the story really didn't do it for me.
I love halo, and have put large amout of time into all of them, but with such great storys coming out of games today my standards for story telling in games has been raised and halo 3 didn't compare to many other games I have played since halo 2 in tha section. Still a great game tho, but mostly becus the mulitplayer.

Finished it the other day, I thought it was a good game overall.
It wasn't as much of a let down that Halo 2 was but I don't think it came close to meeting the 1st game. I do agree with what some others have said, fighting the brutes in 3 didn't live up to fighting the elites. I did like the race to the finish.

add me as well to finishing the fight.

As one that has never played the Halo series, I have to say it was pretty intense. When the Flood show up, all hell pretty much breaks loose. I really hated escaping the flood at the end, but the Warthog finale was well worth the ending.

Edit: Also, what is with the "117" on the blade of the plane at the ending? Must be a Halo reference?

It's for Master Chief I think since everyone thinks he's dead.

Rather, he's spartan number 117. John is the name given to him in the spartan program.

Just finished it last night, had a blast running through that last bit with the Warthog, dodging all the fire and explosions was awesome....the fight with the flood on the snow scene on the other hand was a bitch...i had such a hard time getting to the top, then waiting for the door to open...Great ending though, loved it all.
