Socom 2= 3000 KB OF MEMORY!!!!

CAGiversary!
I couldnt believe it none of my games come close to that much memory, why so much, monster hunter is also online and its like 300 memory if you count the capcom netfile, I was baffled by this, my new memory card now has like 2499 KB left, I cant believe this. Still its a fun game, do any of you know of any other high ranking memory games.

You think that's bad, MY Sims for PS2 takes 1500 MB of memory! Yes, I know it's a typo, but still, that's a lot. Even worse, Castle Shikigami 2 takes 8MB, and I don't think that's a typo.

socom 2 has a couple updates/patches. Some are to prevent cheaters from being able to play with action replay another cheat device

Same thing with Killzone. Killzone doesn't initially take up the space like SOCOM 2, but once you download the patch, it'll take up 2,999KB of space. It may or may not be a reserved space (more than like reserved), as the patch size may end up growing in size, for all we know; where as SOCOM 2's file size has never changed through multiple updates. But, it's all for the better, since it enables the developers to remedy most of the problems that crop up after the release of the games. DNAS is handles anti-cheat device methods, and is updated server-side.

The first Smackdown! title for PS2 took about 4 MB of memory, which was one of the big downfalls of the game. The NCAA Football games have taken up a large amount of space for a dynasty, add to that your profile, settings, rosters, and whatever else you need to save, and you have one huge amount of space taken up by the game; which is why I have one memory card just for that game series.

Even with as much as today's games take up, it's still better than the initial 2K sports games. NFL 2K took up 198 out of 200 blocks on a VMU.

Champions of Norrath takes up 2279KB. And MVP Baseball 2004 takes up a lot (1099 for online rosters, and 1303 for a dynasty).
San Andreas takes up around 2k, but I have some pictures in my gallery so that might be it.
Yeah, it's your gallery. I haven't bothered with the camera, and my save file is only 399.
You can use the HDD as a big memory card, right?
You can store saves there but to access saves in a game they have to be on a memory card.

You'd sell a game based on it's memory card usage?

If a game takes up an enitre memory card it should come with a free memory card like Animal Crossing IMO.
