SOCOM 4 @ Best Buy w/ $15 Gift Card 5/5 - 5/8
Why is this party of a mother's day sale? That's like...huh?
Wait, you're saying your mom doesnt get down on some SOCOM with you in the evenings?

Not much point with PSN down.

Then again, not much point in SOCOMs after 2 especially when they're just third person CoDs now.

I think what they want you to do is buy it online and choose store pickup, so it technically could be online and in-store.

I think he meant the game. And yes, it's online mp only. No campaign.

wtf are you guys talking about? no campaign lol. not worth it cuz psn is down for a few more days?

socom 4 is a pretty damn good game. oh and i didnt know COD had semi-burst-full toggles on their guns, and a cover system.
Wonder if this will work with the Full Deployment Edition.
Should be easy to convince them why would they turn down a $150 sale instead of $60.
Is this online only?
there are no "online only" offers unless it says "online only" BB & BB.com are equal.

I purchased Socom 4 FDE on release to get the $10 pre-order bonus + $10 instant gc so I'll be going there tomorrow to get a $5 gc pm. Thanks to the price drops I really got great deals on MK, Portal 2 & now Socom 4.

Portal 2 $35, MK $30, Socom 4 FDE $150($60 after $90 in RZ cert)
$125 + tax +$65 credit($30 pre-order + $35 in gc) & I got them day 1 none of this hunting $hit down store to store.
SOCOM 4 has both a SP campaign & MP mode.
This. I don't know what they're talking about.

I want this so bad because of word of mouth but I haven't liked a Socom since part 2. The reviews don't help much. I guess I still have time to think about it.

I see the point flew over your head.

I'm basically saying it became casualized, dumbed down for the masses. I expected tactical miltary gameplay, I got generic Hollywood summer movie but I should've expected that since that's what every developer behind a shooter is doing these days with the exception of Tripwire. Nothing is sacred anymore, gotta slap a familiar brand name on a sequel that isn't even anything SLIGHTLY like the originals to make those sales I guess...

No, but I'm halfway through the SP and can honestly say it might as well be... Its just not a very interesting story. Very generic. (I got my copy as the half off of a buy one get one half off sale at Toy'R'Us for 24.99 and likely spent about 'the right amount'.)

And the MP has issues. Playing with friends is going to be tedious at best till June when Zipper patches some sort of party mode into it. (Granted, with PSN down July might end up being the new June.)

Note: The game comes with an redemption code for SOCOM Pro... Which is suppose to eventually have more game modes, etc. and Sony wants 15 bucks if you buy it used but want these features.
