Again I'm selling some of my console stuff and so I made yet another sell thread for one specific bundle. I don't know if this will sell here 'cause it'll be expensive, but I figure I'll put it here before I go to ebay. Anyway this is FOR SALE ONLY, unless you have something I realy want that you'll add money to.

Aren't MVS carts and AES carts different sizes? Why would you want to switch the bios to arcade if the cart won't fit in the machine?

/wish I had $550 to spare...

I believe it is because arcade boards are generally a little cheaper, since they are fairly common, and you can get a kit to convert them into the right size for the home system.

They are a different size, you'd nead an adapter to play an MVS cart on an AES. What the modded bios does is allow you to set the AES (Home) to MVS (Arcade) because some games have slightly different content depending on what it is. All of the cartidges contain the same info, the machine just tells it what version of the game to call up. The main reason for a universal bios is alot of the Neo-Geo games got censered when they were brought to the US. Metal Slug for example, had water instead of blood coming out of enemies. The bios allows you tell the machine to not censor everything.

tho, i must be the only one confused by this fact... how is selling a AES that has the "debug bios" that is not original to the system, allowing to unlock modes that are not normal to the OEM setup any different then selling a modded xbox that has been "upgraded" to run code differently then the OEM specs.

because the neo store sells these items and they are the official NA distributor of games, so the modding is probably ok with SNK

The real difference is the fact that the universal bios doesn't allow for playing backups. And yes SNK is ok with it.
