I lost my DS stylus when I went to the NYC event for Scribblenauts. I came home this weekend but I don't know where I put the spare stylus that came with my DS. My friend was going to give me a spare but he couldn't find his.

Where can I find a stylus for the original DS model? Everything in stores is for the Lite.

How are the styluses on eBay? I saw some replacement ones there. I also saw an extendable aluminum one which I'm interested in getting. Are those worth getting or not?

Also, I was considering getting a screen protector (kinda late since mine is already scratched) but I'm hesitant to do so b/c my screen won't calibrate (the boxes just keep moving from upper left to bottom right to middle and repeating). I got it to work once but when I tried again, it didn't work. I used a toothbrush to get dirt out in the gap around the corners but that didn't work. Anything else I should try?

Well, first things first. The stylus can still be ordered directly from Nintendo. The cost is $6.99 plus shipping but at least it's the official model.

As far as the screen's condition goes I'd call up Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 and ask them what they can do for you in terms of repairs. If you bitch and moan long enough on the phone you can usually get a free or heavily discounted repair.

I got some extendable aluminum ones (with plastic on both ends) back when I had a Phat, and they worked out pretty well.

Nowadays I use this Hori touch pen. Yeah, it's made specifically for the Lite, but that's just for the removable/extendable stylus the holder is made for. Even though I can't store it in my Lite's stylus slot, the stylus/holder combo is super comfortable and I can't imagine using anything else. Don't know if this will help or give you ideas (there are similar products for the Phat and DSi), but I thought I'd just throw it out there as an option.

Those are awesome. I saw them in one of CheapyD's videos a while back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yS6-09So74Y

They're awesome but 6 (over 8 with shipping) bucks for a plastic pen seems a bit much. Though I wish I had one.
