I may check out K-mart later today. There are some pretty good deals posted on here.

I really hate going into my K-mart though. It takes forever just to get an employee to help you out in the electronics area. It's like the electronics section is a forgotten section of the store.

It's funny you should mention that. I went to my K-Mart and there was no one to be found so I tracked down a worker and she paged someone to electronics. After waiting another 10 minutes or so, I decided to page someone again, myself. Shortly after that someone came and scolded me for using the pager phone. I told her I was not about to run around the store again (because as soon as I left, someone probably would've come) to track someone down so they can call and I can wait another 10 minutes. I figured "illegal" use of te phone would get someone over there quick, and I guess I was right.

No One Lives Forever 2 - 1.99 (PC)
Hulk - 1.99 (PC)
Mahjong..something something - 1.99 (pc)
um..the first Harry potter game - 1.99 (PC)

K-mart is discontinuing PC games, so if your in the market for some (like me) they'll be anywhere from 2-9.99

Wow, that's nice for NOFL2. I just spent $12 to get it shipped from EBGgames. Too bad my K-Mart doesn't carry pc games anymore.

Oh, and I checked my other K-Mart in MD. It had crap.

The K-mart in Rotterdam, NY had Wolfenstein 3-D for 1.99 and guides for Luigi's Mansion and Rouge Leader for 1.50. They also had a ton of CotM for 14.99.

Checked back today. New stuff!!!

They had Xenosaga(PS2) for $8
Godzilla(GC) and Federation vs. Zeon for $10
More copies of f-zero came in. Two to be exact, priced at $7.99.

I went to my Kmart and they had all crap. Cheapest console game was 29.99 and that was Gladiator: Sword of Vengence (which I would have loved to buy for 10).

They did have Mario Party 4 for 69.99 though, no joke.
i thought they went out of business or something? i havent seen a kmart in probally a year.
Should be.

My K-Mart had the Wavebird Controller for 79.99. I'll think I'll wait until the price drops to at least MSRP before I pick it up.
admiral akhbar where you located again, what state
I'm in DE. Sorry but I got the last copies of Xenosaga and Gundam.

i dont understand how any kmart is still in business. i know they had the reorganization and closed down a bunch of stores, but they are all horrible. im just north of KC, MO in liberty, and the kmart is literally across the highway from walmart supercenter and target supercenter. and right across from that is a lowes and a home depot, literally no reason to go to that store, and that is quite apparant by their parking lot. there is also another kmart closer than any 2nd walmart or target. im talking within 10 miles, and everytime i go in both to check to see if they've screwed up the price on any videogames, they are empty, but clean. the only good thing about them is they do still sell some older system games, especially genesis and super nintendo, at least the liberty one does.

It's funny, I woulkd argue that in our areas thye K-Marts are better. I'm not saying they';re thre greatest. But compared to the Walmart on rt 40 ours are pretty good.

Now seeing it's across from two supercenters, of course it won't compare. But it's funy. In Elkton they have a Walmart Supercenter(at least I think it's a supercenter. It's big) and a K-mart across the street. The K-mart is 4x better. Easier parking, less crowded, better service, just as many deals, if not on the same things. Again, we're still talking about a k-mart. I'm not saying it's wonderland.

Also our K-Marts are all in large shopping centers in prime locations. The K-mart in Newark is across from a main Pathmark. The kmart on 40 is in a large shopping center. So I guess their location helps with everything else too.

But maybe we're lucky in this area. We also have a lot of competition. 2 BB's, 2 CC's, three kmarts, two walmarts, a super target, four gamestops, six staples, three eb's... All within a 30 minute drive in bad traffic from central Newark

That was actually attached to a Metroid or Mario Party 5 bundle. If the person working in that department knows nothing about games, having a wireless controller at 80 might make sense.

I have to admit, i used to work for K-mart. 2 Years. one of which was a store closing. My father has worked for the company 27 years. Went from having a "Family shopping night" with only family...and there were prizes...and contests...and over all a party/fun atmosphere.

Now they hand out coupons to who ever comes in the door.

I understand what people asy when they think KM are the trashiest of places...and there right. But this is one of those things where you really cant blam the people in the stores. The breakdown of this company started at the top and quaked itself down. There is almost no reason for moral. My dad wonders each year wether he'll get a bonus....or laid off. Every few months the company decides to cut cost by making fewer and fewer full time people...so everyone needs to know everything.

I actually feel bad for this company...and if it wasnt for my dad still working there and having something of a living...i'd wish it dead.

Admiral Ackbar, it appears we haunt the same region of DE. Yeah, that Wal-Mart is a dump and they never have any good game deals. The best I got there recently was probably Blowout (GC) for $9.97.

Some of the deals I've taken advantage of at the various K-Marts in the area are below. These prices should all be national I believe. The employees can be lazy at certain K-Marts when it comes to updating the price tags. Most of these have already been mentioned:

F-Zero (GBA) - $7.99
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (GBA) - $7.99
Wolfenstein 3D (GBA) - $1.99
Summoner: A Goddess Reborn (GC) - $7.99
Dr. Muto (XB) - $7.99
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (XB) - $9.99
Transworld Surf (XB) - $7.99

The KMart near me closed, so I had to go to the one in Layton. The electronics changed. They put all the games in front of each other. That made it really hard to tell what games they had. They only had like 4 rows of 4 showing the games. They did have a small section of "clearance/mark down". I guess it all depends on what you are really looking for. I bought Sims Vacation for 7.99, some Powerpuff Girls game for the PC for 1.99, and Lemonade Tycoon PC for 1.99. They also had Clue: Murder at Brody Mansion for PC for only .99. I would have bought it if I didn't get it while eating some cereal. They also had some PS2 games, but never really heard of them.

I'm a new CAG, what kind of acronyms that I don't know of that you guys speak alot? like ymmv is that like yo had to be thier kind of thing?

It means "Your Mileage May Vary"

Which basically means that it might not be that exact same deal at every single K-Mart.(or whateever store it's at)
Picked up BF 1942: Road to Rome for $1.99. I couldn't find Secret Weapons . . . Shelves were too messed up ...
That's a great price for that expansion. Especially when it still retails for $20. 90% off.

But I can top you easily... for I found out today that my K-Mart has ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKES for $1.99 on Saturdays!

Awesome! You can get a game and breakfast for under $5.00. I'm gonna go back today and scan all of the PC games. Hopefully there will be more $1.99 titles.

I went to the K-Mart in Pineville, NC (near Best Buy and Carolina Place mall).

They had very little video games on clearance. They did have the Eye Toy with some game bundled with it for $30.00. Sadly I don't own a PS2. I picked up Summoner: A Goddess Reborn for the GCN for $7.99.

All the PC games were on clearance, mostly for $1.99-7.99. They had a ton of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for $1.99, a couple of Shogo/Septerra Core double packs for $1.99 (got one of those), The Sims House Party for $1.99 (picked up that), and the Sims Vacation for $7.99. They didn't have much else. They were pretty picked over.

I'm going to check out another K-Mart in Rock Hill either later today or tomorrow.

^^ I think it is really YMMV. W3D is $7.99 at mine, but the pc games are all $7.99 as well.

Also if anyone would get me some of those PC double packs for $2, I'll throw in a couple of bucks besides tax and shipping...looking for Septerra Core in particular...let me know, thanks!

How 'bout Madden 2003 for $7.99 or Madden 2004 for $14.99? Yup, the K is deteriorating. Nothing in Utah Valley (American Fork and Orem, UT).
