DAMNIT! Time for yet another trip to the stores. Why don't these sales get posted on the same day :) Thanks OP.

Gonna try and snag a couple, but like others have said, my store is pretty much cleared out. It's nuts.

As others asked, any chance this will be online?
 
does anyone know if this is going to be advertized in an ad??? if so, i can go to BB to price match, otherwise i don't think that the stores will have much in stock by now.
 
I just returned from TRU someone hit up the store before I got there they only had one copy of Advance Wars DS two days ago I saw at least eight. I bought it for the regular MSRP of $19.99 I will try to get it price adjusted on the 26th. I was also looking for Resident Evil DS and the LOZ The Minish Cap I did not see any. I did manage to find a game I have been looking for I do not know where it came from I have been visiting this store I did not see it during any of my previous trips, Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones for $7.50.:) I overheard a middle aged CAG asking for some of the clearance games she told her acquaintance they have the games in the back.
 
I picked up Steambot Chronicles, Tales of Legendia, Ys Ark of Napishtim, and 2 copies of Odama. The director at the TRU that I bought them from said it would not be a problem to bring the games back in, return them, and immediately buy them back.

Damn, though, I wish I had written down a list of what I had wanted. There were several titles I would have gotten that I passed up. Guess I'll go to another TRU later today.

yes, the Tru i work at you can get a price adjustment just bring in the receipt showing how much you paid and tell them how much it is now and their give you the difference

i believe you have 45 days since purchase to make any adjustments

if anyone live in the new york area i can get these for u

I'd love Gunstar Super Heroes... but I know that my TRU is sold out of those. Otherwise, I have most of those games already which is good for me.

I've seen GSH at Costco for $13-something, if you have that as a fall-back.

yea I remember DDS going for 10 last yr but..right when the store opened some asshat snagged all 3 copies as I walked in!
 
Holy crap, I have all of those DS games except Deep Labyrinth which I don't want anyway. Though the prices are excellent, all of my spare cash is going to the awesome 360 prices in next week's Uber thread.

Definitely in for Atelier Iris 2, Steambot Chronicles, maybe Tales of Legendia.

I owned them all before, but never got around to playing them and sold them because I had paid $30 - $50 per game.

At $9.98 - $19.98 I can afford to just backlog them.

WARNING! WARNING! Whatever you do do not buy the game for full price (Return & Re-buy) it cos they'll not SELL the game back to you cost they do something on the computer! Yeah, they did to me again while back..... & i took me forever to chat with me & the bad part the manager is on they side.

Alright... I don't want to go back into TRU before Christmas anyways so I'll take my chances on the 26th... there is bout 5 or 6 TRU's around me that I'll hit as soon as they open until I find what I need ;)
 
Thanks benboxer! Looks like this is happening again this year. I wonder what is going to be the top item everyone will be after this year.

Anyway, I didn't see Odama and Gun for the Gamecube at my TRU the last time I was there. Also, Zelda: Minish Cap wasn't there either.

There were a ton of Battallion Wars though. So anyone in my area leave at least one copy for me there thanks, so I won't be forced to buy a gutted one from Gamestop.

Last year my TRU had already been cleaned out by the time they went on-sale. I remember hearing of many many CAG's going back in and getting refunded the difference. I kicked myself for not pre-buying last year. I'm going to do it today, and if they give me shit, I will just return them all. It's just games. I figure I have a better chance of getting them if I buy now, than waiing after everyone tears through my TRU for christmas.
 
This deal is too good to pass up. Honestly, I'm not going to worry about buying now and trying to price match later. People at TRU on the 26th are there to return unwanted gifts, not buy video games on clearance :)
 
I did pay full price for the only and last copy of Steambot Chronicles just a bit ago.

The manager told be if the price changes within 14 days I can get a price adjustment.

So 52.98 - 9.98 = 43.00 coming back to me, and I got the only copy. :lol:

Too much shopping has made me go crazy! Sorry.

There area bunch of things I want to get. But right now im broke. But after christmas Ill have some money and I will blow maybe $100 on all the clearance games. Thanks OP ^_^

Those aren't the ones you need to worry about. It's the other CAG's, Fatwallet people and ebayers. Once word gets out (it always does) people will run to there TRU and buy up most of the Hard to find/valuable games, and then return next week sometime to get the prices adjusted.
 
I don't know if waiting until the 26th makes much difference considering most TRU stores are pretty lazy about marking the new prices.

I managed to get Mercury, Ape Escape 3, Capcom Classics Collection, Deep Dungeon, and Monster Hunter Evo at the other TRU. Now I just need to try to get Atelier Iris 2 on the way to work (if they still have it in stock later tonight).

All this pre-buying is a killer though. These are some major markdowns, up to $40 on several games. Already spent $450+ picking up stuff.

I second that. Plus the two games I want most (Steambot and AI 2) are in short supply at my TRU so I went and got them today.

I just don't see it being a problem. I'm pretty sure they still have the 14 day policy in-place for returns. What do they care when you bought them. If it's a clearance item, it means they need to get rid of it. You may get some weird looks getting $100's of dollars back, maybe even have to call a manager, but in the end I don't see it being a problem.

I'm hoping that won't happen this year because, well, it's 3 days to Christmas, and have you been in a TRU? The ones here are packed, I'm not waiting in line for an hour just to buy some somewhat mediocre RPG's in the chance I'll get them price adjusted on the 26th (which is another hour long wait at customer service).

I'll take my chances in the wild on the 26th ;)

The hunt for the games is the best part.

Same here. Last year I went and bought things early to pricematch (like Digital Devil Saga) but this year I'm just going to roll the dice and see what I can find when the prices go live.

It's way more fun like that. I'll pick up a friend, we'll go to breakfast, then we'll just hit up some TRU's. These games aren't important enough to me to prebuy and well, take the fun out of things.

agree w/ roufuss. Last year DDS was the rare game. This year there isnt a game that rare. Even steambot and Ai2 are only $30 at EB, and you can get them for a reasonable price from other CAG.

Last i tried to price adust, and the difference was over $100. The manager accuse me of trying to scam them and wont adjust the price.
