Someone help me with Virtua Fighter 5 before I throw this TV out the window lol

Alright so I have never played virtua fighter before but I picked it up a while ago in a b1g1 used deal at blockbuster. Finally starting to play it and its good. Here is the issue. I was playing quest mode in the beginners arcade area and I just kept fighting these people at this one station or whatever for about 50 minutes. I racked up a bunch of cash and clothes and went from 10th kyu to first dan (whatever the hell that means) but anyways I thought it had saved once I got to the main menu. I turn it on today and NOTHING SAVED .

How the hell do you save your data? I don't want that to happen again...

Go to Options, then Game Data and make sure the Auto-Save feature is on.

is that not automatically on? Lol that is crappy. I hope this doesn't screw it up again I just played for another hour and am up to 3rd dan again...

I'm editing this now because I saw the : ) and now I think you were just kidding. Sorry I got so defensive but I have been on the 1up.com boards alot recently and there are many more jerks on there...
