Sony b2g1 mail in rebate

Mine was processed on Feb 26... and shipped today Feb 29.

I had sent this out mid January. I guess I should be expecting it next week then. Hope it is SuperBad that arrives!

If so, there is actually another version of that Sony B2G1 form. For that one, the receipt must be dated no later than 3/2/08 and must be received by 3/16/08. Try looking around the Sony site -- I will post a link if I find it. (I printed it earlier and filled it out already.)

Hmmm, do you think I could buy two cheaper movies and get that Close Encounters boxset for free?

I really hope I get Superbad from my previous mail in, I already had almost everything and the other other movie I wanted at all was Surf's Up (really don't want RE), but I can get that for less than Superbad =\

I picked up Click and A Few Good Men, which was about $40. No BOGO at the moment, so that was about as cheap as I could do. I did my choices as CE as #1, Superbad as #2 and Surf's Up as #3.

Damages - Season #1 is the best value out of the bunch, mainly because it retails for $60+. CE is the next best value, being a $30+ movie.
 
Hmm, I might even just order Memoirs of Geisha and something else from Amazon (hopefully $17 as well) and pick up that Damages as #1 and eBay it if I get it, and pick Close Encounters #2 which I'd keep if they send me that. If I get it in soon enough I'm sure I'd have no problem getting one of those two :)
 
After taking a while it finally shipped.

Your SONY PICTURES FREE BLU RAY HD MOVIE JANUARY 1 offer was received on 2/18/2008 and was shipped on 2/29/2008.

I believe mine was delayed because of one of my receipts didn't show the name of RE:E but just the price. So I needed the store to print out a sales history on me that showed the purcahse but after "final audit" it was shipped out today.

I just pciked up A Few Good Men and Close Encounters and will be sending the new form in once they get here next week. probably going to go with Damaged, SE,a nd Superbad. I already have the later two, so I'll sell 'em on Ebay to cover my costs. And if I get Damages that'll be great.

I my last rebate shipped on the 29th as well.
 
Anyone have any problems using an Amazon receipt? I bought Casino Royale on Amazon a few weeks ago and I'm thinking of picking up Superbad today.

I submitted the first two. One was from a puurchase at J&R and the other from Amazon.
 
I ordered from Amazon today but I still might go to BB and buy the two movies today so I can get the form out now instead of next Thursday or Friday, then return the pair of movies I get from Amazon.

Ah, I'll give it a shot then! I'm going to pick up Superbad today since I've been wanting to see it again. Plus, can't hope to get that title as my first choice anyways!
 
They still haven't cashed my check from when I sent in from Amazon's buy 2 get 1 free sale =\

There is no way they didn't get that in time, I really don't want to have to file a BBB report in a few weeks because they ignored my rebate :(
 
Thats horrible. I sent mine out mid January.

If you've been following this thread, a number of us had our order processed mid February and were shipped end of Feb.
 
So it takes about a month for them to process the orders?

That is a good thing cause I shouldn't worry until they haven't cashed the check for another 2-3 weeks, which means I won't get my movie for about a month yet :(
 
That sounds about right. According to people that participated in a similar offer, they also waited around for quite a while.

I would not fret yet. I would advise sending an email late next week if there is no progress yet.
 
What kind of shipping method are you guy getting them in from? UPS, USPS(Media, 1st Class?), Fedex?

So we know what to expect., Thanks.
 
I have Casino Royale so I was going to buy Resident Evil and get Dragon Wars as my free one... glad I didn't. Got RE for $4.99 at Blockbuster and it is the worst of the 3 in the series by far and saw Dragon Wars at a friends place and it too is disappointing. Thanks for posting this though, I was really close to going to through with it.
 
$5 for BD is a great deal, even if the movie sucks (but personally, i'm into mindless action movies, so REs are cool with me).

I got my $3 BD last week, 1st choice too. It took a while for them to cash the check, then it was like two weeks after that...

Yeah, I wasn't happy about having to make my cases look so ugly.
But then I had a really long day and wanted to get it mailed out so I stuffed the form and reciepts in and sent it off. I was really pissed when I realized I forgot the proofs, but then I noticed they cashed my check anyway.
 
Got Superbad in the mail, I am not home but I had someone open for me and they said it was superbad. Shipped on 2/29 got to my house on 3/11.
