I managed to beat the Target PS1 combo deal with this, I couldn't believe it.

after reading about the $80 PS 1 combos on here this past weekend, I headed to a local Sears B&M where I knew a lone PS1 system/LCD combo had been selling for ~$150 about a month earlier. I had an employee price check it on Sunday, he told me it was $29.97, so I immediately grabbed it. unfortunately, it was the last one.

obviously, YMMV greatly on this deal, but it's certainly worth checking out. also, I picked up two official Sony LCDs for the PS 1, still brand new and sealed. I have these for trade if anyone is interested, here's my list:

good luck!

hahaha! sorry bfg9k, my credit card scanned itself when it heard the price! I tried to stop it, there was nothing I could do... :D
In what city was this?
White Plains, NY

I know there are a bunch of ppl looking for this deal, I hope someone can find a few more for this price.
seriously, anyone that can get this for me, i can trade a new rez for it (i think)
throw it in my face a bit more, why don't ya?
is this at all sears..god i hate going there
SEARS is good. My dad loves Craftsman tools because of the lifetime warranty

well then you had best get looking
I very much hope you are kidding in that statement.
yea, but im serious, i want this bundle bad.

Sears sucks for video games. Never any good sales, no Gamecube stuff. With that said, this PSone combo deal is quite a surprising steal if you can get one.

good lord this is insane. This easily dwarfs the target deal for "bargain of the year".

I will hit every sears in my area. Yikes, that is a super cheap price
Where exactly does one look for video games in Sears? The softer side, the harder side?
The games are usually in the electronics section. At my local Sears, they're next to the computers, but it might vary depending on the store.

The best deal I saw at Sears was Grabbed by the Ghoulies (XB) for $9.98, which doesn't seem like too much of a deal to me. They should give me $9.98 for clearing their inventory.

I picked it up only to get them to go to the back and search for one. They also had Jedi Academy for 25

i still cannot find one of these PS One LCD deals......I think i spent all my luck when i got Steel Battalion for $99 last month.....lets hope not

My Sears has this combo for 79.97, up 10.00 from the 69.97 it was marked at. However they had tons of great sale prices on games for the X box and PS2 instead. I got XenoSaga for 14.00 even, Kotor for 20.00, Midtown madness for 9.97.

wow! i'm going to sears today! if i find anything, i'll let you alls know.

LCD Screen was $70, Bundle was tagged $150, rang up at $80. I did see Panzer Dragoon Orta for $15 but I am waiting to find it for under $10.
no dice

called all 4 sears and 2 were oos, 1 had it sofr 79.97, and one for 69.99
thanks for looking, i just may ask you to grab one for me at that price if i cant find it this weekend.

Mine said it was 150, but it was some lazy @ss who didnt bother to look, I will go my self and look tommorrow. Another reason I dont call stores.

Picked up Midtown Madness 3 for 9.97 as posted earlier...anyone played this yet? I'm at work and kinda wondering if I wasted my money. :p

THere is one for 79 at my sears. The screen itself is 69. If you are interested I could maybe get it, for a fee of course.

The guy working there said they might be clearing out all the games soon, so maybe in a couple of weeks more drops will happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped selling games. For the most part, they never have a good selection and their prices are usually a joke ($39.99 for old PSOne games, advertised prices for games like MVP 2004 for $49.99 etc.)

They are supposed to give you the marked price plus 5 bucks off when it rings up wrong (just letting you know).

Until recently, my Sears seemed to believe that old games in dusty cases at exorbitant prices was the best way to move merchandise. They didn't carry the PSOne combo, but I did find a v.1 Live kit for $24.97 (my subscription expires in 2 days). I also picked up Grabbed by the Ghoulies for $9.97. Other games I can remember were Jedi Academy for $24.97, Haven was $4.97 (it's my duty to flog this game), the Xbox Hi-Def A/V Pack was $6.97 and Panzer Dragoon Orta was $14.97.

whoever topic creator is, what is the exact sears you got it from? i think sears does a store to store price match if they would match another retailer

I bought this at the only Sears store in White Plains, NY:

100 MAIN ST
WHITE PLAINS, NY 10601
(914)644-1400

Sears Mall Store
Store 0001674

hope this helps!

it might, but they might say that since the white plains store has none left in stock that they cannot honor that price, i hope they can honor the price tho.

I'm sure the employees working the electronics dept regret selling that to me now! :)

No they don't, unless your state (like Michigan) has that specific scanner law on the books. Most don't.
