Sony PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset $64.99 @ Newegg.com Free Shipping *Limited Supplies*

My fiance got me these for Christmas. Great headset!

The sound is clear as a whistle. Easy to reach volume and mic controls on the headset. I think it's definitely worth the price!

When I was home for Christmas my father and I were playing Black Ops 2. I set up this headset and we would switch back and forth every game. When he first put this headset on he immediate said, "Oh yeah.... these are awesome!" We ended up going out the next day to grab him a set. He's been using them ever since.

Thought I'd share my experience with this headset in case anyone is debating to pick these up.

Enjoy!

I don't know about the quality of the Pulse 2, but these are terrific. I've been using it for about a year now everyday, and there's no wear and tear at all. Everything still works perfectly and flawlessly. Awesome set. Paid $80 for it from Newegg long ago.

Does anyone else get annoyed with how the plastic on these headphones creaked when you move them? Or is that only happening with mine?
Stupid question but will this work with Xbox -_-

I know it works with PCs and Macs
Pulse 2 does work with Xbox 360. Don't know about these.

These don't work with Xbox 360. But it's a good headset, so good I didn't feel the need to upgrade to the Pulse when it was on sale. My one complaint is the LED light on the microphone. When I'm watching a movie it can be distracting. But audio quality, the feel of them, all excellent.

Gonna cosign These headphones too: they are awesome. Owned them for about a year now as well and they hold up great, love using then on my PC as well.

Good sound all around!

I bought these when they first came out and it's normal. I've used them at work as headphones and they've been dropped numerous times and it's still kicking.

They are really comfortable headphones and sound good too.

Currently, letting my friend borrow them since he doesn't have a surround sound system in his apt. I do have the newer model and that's a beast of its own.
Ah I spent so much money, want, but not sure. How do these sound?
Purchase this with Uncharted 3 during the Kmart sale and spent the first hour of multiplayer spinning my charector around and listing to the bullets flying. Had small issue with the mic volume after one of the firmware updates that grayed out the mic volume in the settings.
Great headset. But now there's the Pulse 2....
Got the Pulse 2 for 80 in AWD and prefer the older ones. Tighter fit and fumble around with the mute and volume controls.

Got use to the creaking after about a week.

Pulse 2 can connected to the 360 controller by wire (included) but think you won't get the surround sound.

I had this since the launch (60 bucks from amazon preorder).

Very good headset

Pros
- Convenient. No bluetooth means, you just plug the USB anywhere (PS3, PC) and it works. (some may not like it though)
- Volume (ratio) control for Voice/Sound. If the online voice chat is too small, you can control the ratio so that the voice chat can go higher and the general sound can go lower. This is separate control from the overall volume control

Cons
- Plastic squeaking when touch the headset
- High pitch sound is a little bit too compressed. Similar to the high compressed MP3 sound. Obvious test is, God of War. The chaos blade whooshing sound is somewhat.... too... compressed? I cannot come up with the better term.
- White noise is there. Very minimal but if you are in a silent room, you can hear it.
- Default volume is way too high. I put the volume at the minimum possible way all the time.

Overally, I highly recommend this on this price.

Any other opinions on these versus the Pulse Elites? BB has the Elites for $125 and I might go with them if there's much difference. Also, how do these sound compared to the Rocketfish wired ones (that BB had for $15 over the Summer)?

newegg just had the pulse elites for $99. go to that thread and read the reviews, as some of us already comparisons between the 2 in there already.
