i have three weeks off before i go back to school and i want an rpg that will probably last me these three weeks... the problem is i've already played alot of the good ones (and the not so good). i've narrowed it down to either shining force neo or magna carta: tears of blood. i know both of these have recieved fairly decent reviews and i know one is a hack and slash action rpg... but i don't know which one to go for... im kind of leaning more towards magna carta because the story sounds amazing. then again shining force neo's fast paced gameplay would be a nice break from playing turn based games all the time... what do you CAGs think?

I think Dragon Quest 8 if you haven't played it yet. Great Game.

Agreed, however I played Shinning Force Neo and found the hack and slash combat to be repetivie. Haven't played Magna Carta but from what I have seen it's not that great ethier. I would say try and dig back in the PS2 backlog and find and old rpg.

I'm also for Dragon Quest VIII. That's a long game. Magna Carta's extremely complex, my warning if you decide to go with that.

But I love Shining Force Neo to pieces. I haven't beat it yet, but no game is not subject to my freakish attention span, or lack there of (gotta love double negatives).

i bought dragon quest viii. unfortunatley i bought it for my girlfriend so im just going to wait till i can get it back from her. i think i'll rent magna carta today... if they have it.
