A good filler for those needing the boost to hit $50 for the Discover $10 promo. Afro Samurai as well.

I have a very deep LOVE/HATE relationship with all of these sales... buying way too many games but can't beat the prices.

Picked up VF5 and SC4 for $20 to complete the fighting game collection. :D
 
Got a 360 copy for under $10 shipped, but I'm a little dissapointed that it won't arrive until after Christmas. Oh well I'll probably still be playing modern warfare 2 until then anyway.
 
I'm sure Amazon will locate some stock of it and ship before 1 to 2 months.

I ordered a WDTV Live which was out of stock for 1 to 2 months and they had more stock in 2 weeks.

Either way, every true CAG has a backlog that will tide them over!

Does anyone actually still play this online on the PS3? I know it's OOS but there are quite a lot of SC in my GS for 19.98...

Picked up Soul Cal 4 and Casino Royale 2 disc DVD, I had a 10 buck credit so my total was 2 bucks :D. I havent played a fighting game in ages so figured id give soul cal a go for the price of free. Delivery estimate for casino is dec 1 for Soul Cal its Dec 2

Thanks... I missed out on the $9.98 new.. but since PS3 disc never scratch, $8.99 used sounds pretty good too.
 
New Retail Price for Afro Samurai is now $19.99, probably in 1 or 2 weeks Amazon will drop the price... I'm not sure... other than that good deal....

"Never scratch?" Ummm ... no. Blu-ray discs scratch like any other; it's a little harder to scratch but by no means do they "never" scratch. Scruff-mark-wise, I'd say they're about the same.

Not sure where you heard that. There's some protection but it's hardly scratch-proof.

Hopefully, you didn't get fed that by some Sony fanboy :)

On a related note, these sales are forcing me to buy a few more 360 games (even though I don't even have a 360). I admit I'd like to get a PS3 eventually (since we have a huge HDTV) but since the 360 is more likely to hit that magic $99 price point sooner, I'm just hedging my bets (as the whole blu-ray movie thing doesn't quite entice me yet) :)

Of course, when FF13 hits, I'll be dying to get a PS3 ;-) Yes, yes, I know it's on 360 but I'm a sucker for wanting to hear an FF game with its original Japanese audio track. I think that'd be really cool.
 
It's pretty tough to scratch PS3 games unless you deliberately try to. The scratch-resistant coating works wonders, and this is why I never shy away from buying used PS3 games from GameFly or any other place.

P.S. The US version of Final Fantasy XIII will not have the option for Japanese dubbing.

You're being ridiculous. It's obvious he meant never scratch by REGULAR means.

If you go out of your way to destroy it, then that's a different story.

For under $10, there is really no reason not to get it.

Yup -- this is one of those games where there is pretty much no difference between the PS3 and XBX versions.

sorry, i was referring to the price at amazon for different console versions.
just now xbox version price changed also. still, xbox version of the game stayed at $10 longer than ps3. =(
 
Sweet just got an email from amazon stating the estimated shipping date has been moved up to December 2nd. Guess they did end up finding more stock.

Yeah, a bunch of these Thursday deals are dead. I was waiting until 8:30 to get Afro Samurai and SC4 with Killzone 2... 1 order and FS. I missed out.

I even tried calling amazon to see if they would honor the deal, no luck.
 
360 deal is dead.

As to why the 360 version lasted longer? It might be that Amazon just had more stock for the 360. I wouldn't be surprised if more copies of the 360 were published in the US given (a) cheaper to produce (DVD vs. Blu-Ray) and (b) 360 user penetration remains considerably higher.

that sucks! no luck on my side also when i called amazon. :cry: here's to hoping that walmart would have SC4 (ps3) in one of their $10 video game deals. that's probably wistful thinking.
