I'm aiming to get Space Marine on pre-order, but it looks like only D2D has a 10% pre-order discount.

I have never used D2D before, will they give me a Steam code? Or do I need to download another application to play the game?

You should spend the extra $5 and get it on Steam for the Blood Ravens skins and a Free copy of Darksiders.

It's not a steamworks game so I don't think it will unlock if you buy it somewhere else.
